Responsibilities:
• Ensure all activities are performed safely, productively, in the most efficient and cost effective manner, and continually seek improvements in the work systems.
• Produce H&S reports to Senior Management
• Promote and demonstrate commitment to the project Health and Safety objectives, goals and targets.
• Provide Health and Safety information, support and mentoring to personnel to ensure the safe and hygienic conduct of work, and provide advice regarding special operations.
• Conduct regular safety inspections / audits of the site and equipment during construction and commissioning, and participates in audits of the safety program implementation.
• Ensure safety equipment and facilities are maintained in optimum working condition by developing and implementing inspection and preventative maintenance programs and establishing efficient record keeping system.
• Assist in the development of safe system of work and emergency procedures, standard operating procedures.
• Participate in incident control during emergencies or incidents. Lead or assist in investigations into near misses, property damage, injury, occupational illness and spills / loss of containment, ensuring that database records of such incidents are maintained.
• Develop and conduct safety training courses / inductions, and participate in training and development of contractor and Subcontractor HSE personnel
