LionHeart Security International Consulting was awarded the contract, by AGR Well Management of Aberdeen, Scotland, to manage the Security Program staffed by PRO-telligent Security of Washington, DC. The security program was for Houston based HyperDynamics Oil Exploration Company that was operating an Exploration Concession on the Guinea Shelf in the Gulf of Guinea. This concession has now been assumed by Tullow Oil of Chiswick, England.

Our Program was heavily centered on Maritime Security Operations including the safety and security of the loading and unloading operations as well as the protection of the Oil Rig's Tender Vessels. Our Security Teams were stationed on the Docks as well as on the Ships and successfully repelled, or prevented, several attempts of unlawful boarding. We received outstanding Letters of Appreciation from the Masters of the vessels we protected.

LionHeart Security is also very proud to provide Security Consulting Services to several Senior, High-Ranking Officers within the Government of Guinea to include the Ministry of Security and SOGUIPAMI, the Government Agency responsible for overseeing Contracts between the Government of Guinea and Foreign Mining Companies.

Following my tour in DR Congo, Rwanda, and Kenya, I returned to Guinea to set up complete business services to include licensing for PRO-telligent Global, a Kenya-based American Security Company that was a Bidder for the US Embassy Contract in Guinea.

During this period I cold-called, negotiated, and secured a Contract for Security Services that amounted to revenues in excess of $90K per month while still living in a hotel and setting up the company’s Base of Operation and without a single employee on the payroll.

I was retained by Nairobi, Kenya based PRO-telligent Global as the Project Manager to train and stand up the Security Guard Force at the US Embassy in Kinshasa, DR Congo.

During this time I was also sent to Kigali, Rwanda to do a complete Security Assessment of the US Embassy in preparation for submission of the Request for Proposal (RFP) for Security Services.

I was retained by Torres Advanced Enterprise Solutions to travel to Bujumbura, Burundi on short-notice to train the new Security Guard Force for the US Embassy. I had the honor and pleasure of working directly with President/CEO Jerry Torres who personally supervised the Program.

All Personnel were trained for several weeks in a State Department approved Training Program that was developed by myself and Col. Gary Springer, US Army-Ret. The Program included:

Guard Procedures - Baton and Self Defense Techniques - Vehicles Searching - Building Searches - Evacuation Techniques - Surveillance and Counter-Surveillance Techniques - CPR and Emergency Medical Training - Fire Fighting and Prevention - Counter-Terrorism - Use of Force - Report Writing.

May 20, 2010 to Present: I have been retained for a long-term, on-call, contract with a State Department contractor in Washington DC to engage in Rule of Law Justice Sector Reform in various 3rd-World countries on an as-needed basis.

September, 2009 to August 31, 2010: I assisted different US based Contract Security Companies write and present Bids in response to the US Department of State Requests for Proposals (RFP) for Security Services to the US Embassies in France, Switzerland, Guinea, and Malawi.

I was hired by G4S on a 2-year contract to be the Country Manager in Guinea, West Africa. Responsibilities included Management of the Contract Guard Force for the US Embassy in Conakry, which includes the USAID Office and Peace Corp. New clients that I signed to G4S include the Malaysian, Ukrainian and Brazilian Embassies, UNHCR and UNDP as well as Mining and Construction Facilities in the North-West province of Boké.

I was also responsible for the integration and rebranding of operations of Security Services International (SSI) during the merger of SSI with G4S in 2007 and 2008.

● During my tenure I increased revenues significantly requiring an increase in personnel from 450 to over 900.

● Upon my hiring the US Embassy represented over 73% of monthly revenues. By signing new clients I reduced the US Embassy to less than 35% of monthly revenues eliminating the potential for catastrophic loss in the event the US Embassy contract was not renewed.

● Beginning in September 2008 I was also responsible for the implementation of the Security Program for the new Bechtel Construction Project of the Guinea Alumina Refinery in Sangaredi and Port Project in Kamsar in the remote Northwest area of Guinea.

October 2004-October 2007

Promoted to Branch Manager (Capt) after less than one year of service. Duties include responsibility for overseeing Patrol and Fixed-Site Security Operations and all Sales and Marketing efforts.
• In conjunction with the Monterey County Sheriff’s Department I created a Security program to provide Security for Sheriff’s Department Prisoners while at the County Hospital.
• I also developed the Security Program for the Monterey County Courthouse to ensure that all Courtrooms, Judges, Court Staff, Lawyers, Defendants, Plaintiffs, and Witnesses were provided with full Security during Trials.
• From January 2005 to December 2006 I grew my Branch by over $1.4 million per year in additional Sales Revenues on an average Bill-Rate of $17.35 per hour
• During the 1st Quarter of 2007 I set a corporate record of 48% Net Growth over the previous year’s 1st Quarter.
• During the 2nd Quarter of 2007 I set a corporate record of 8000 billable man-hours for one (1) two-week period.

December 2003 - October 2004

Monterey County Branch Operations Manager (Lt) for the 27th largest Security Company in the United States. Duties involve management of Monterey and Salinas, CA, area which includes overseeing 137 Security Personnel. In January of 2004 I instituted the Specialized Services Division which provides plain-clothed, armed, Security Personnel to Celebrities and Corporate Executives. Assignments include Private Estate Security to Internationally-known clientele on the California Central Coast. Management duties also include responsibility for all day-to-day Sales, Marketing and Customer Retention through close, personal, one-on-one Client Relations.
• Developed security programs for several Top-Ranking Hotel and Resort Properties
• Created new Specialized Services Division to handle security for High-End Clientele
• Participated in Los Angeles Police Department’s Law Enforcement and Private Security Training Program (LEAPS) in Los Angeles, CA.

Founded as Executive Services Inc in 1993, and renamed in 2001 to provide on-site Security Consulting for Executives and their Families. Clients included several Fortune 100 CEOs, a US Senator, a former State Governor and a Hong Kong based British Baron and Baroness. During the 2002 California Gubernatorial Campaign, I was retained to provide Armed Driver Services to both Governor Gray Davis and State Treasurer Phil Angelides.

I also provided numerous Pro-Bono Services in the form of Safe Houses and Personal Protection for battered and abused women, and their children, when the woman was due to testify against her Abuser, under threat of harm or death, in a Court of Law.

•2006 - Provided close-quarters protection to the following celebrities on behalf of Rupert Murdock’s News Corp: Keith Urban, Nicole Kidman, U2’s Bono

•2006 - provided Armed, Plain clothes security for events featuring Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger during Pre-Election visits to the Monterey, Carmel and Pebble Beach areas.

I served as both Councilman and Mayor Pro Tem for the City of Marina in California from June 2000 until May of 2007.

From June through November of 2006, after winning the California Primary Election, I ran in the General Election as the Republican Party Candidate for California State Assembly in the 27th District.

Although I did not succeed in unseating the incumbent Representative, I am proud of the fact that although overall Republican voter registration was near 18% in the 27th District I did succeed in garnering as much as 42% of the votes in certain areas. This was a testiment to the hard work and dedication put in by the "GoMichael" Campaign Team and the strong message that was put forth to the Voters.

During this time I had the opportunity to meet and work with other prominent Republicans including California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Senator Abel Maldonado who later became California’s Lieutenant-Governor.

Following the election I resumed my duties with the City of Marina in addition to assuming my duties as a Member of the Republican Party Central Committee.
