Job Responsibilities
Responsible for the quality, audit ability and governance of the overall procurement of IT related goods and services for the company.
· Researching, selecting, developing and maintaining sources of supply for assigned materials, equipment and services related to IT.
· Identifying and implementing continuous cost reductions and purchasing process improvements.
· Works in close coordination with the GPC (Group Procurement and Contracts), F&A department for keeping track of IT related budgets, ERs & Work Orders.
· Raising Purchase Request and Issue Purchase Order against the vendors.
· Works with Oracle, BMC System.
· Generates hostname for Desktop, Laptop and POS hardware, update information such as location User and hardware type.
· Follows-ups of the order backlog, proactively solving problems and updating customers and suppliers about changes in organizational plans and procedures.
· Receive, register and review all types of IT service requisitions and ensure conformity with approved policies and procedures.
· In case of un-availability of stock, alternate options are considered. This could be in the form of an alternate Model of product or another vendor who’s got adequate stock in hand.
· Procurement related activities for projects like: GILBARCO, Autocare sites, RFID System, Retail Automation project (RAP), Dubai metro project (Zoom) & Opening of new sites have been handled by keeping in mind the time frame and meeting deadlines.
· Market research and update via the technical support people if there is a new or an alternative product in the market.
· Researching for new and alternative vendor local and international such as importing products from outside the country such as Denmark, Korea Hongkong China etc, and register them as a qualified and registered vendor of ENOC.
· To motivate and be part of a team by achieving individual and team targets set by the department. Especially at the time of a new project implementation, vendor’s contacts are used in the best possible manner avoid unreasonable delays in the purchase of products that would lead to the delay in the project.
· Generate more contacts and form own database of vendors for all seasons. There has to be a good rapport maintained with the colleagues and also with the vendors in the market. This is plays a vital part in accomplishing targets in time.
