Clinical Pharmacist/ Lecturer
Addis Ababa University
Total years of experience :15 years, 10 Months
During my stay in the university which is also the largest referral hospital in Ethiopia, I've served as a lecturer on courses such as the pharacotherapy of dermatological disorders and small scale preparation of dermatological products. In addition, I've a lot of interaction with physicians in the hospital during their morning sessions and their ward rounds. This has increased my clinical knowledge and helped me to understand medicines from a physician’s perspective. During ward rounds physicians hugely rely on the clinical pharmacists when it comes to medication selection and provision of appropriate pharmaceutical care. Furthermore, I've also served as the director of the drug information center of the Black Lion Hospital during the last month and half. During this time I was responsible for the provision of evidence based information to clinicians in a timely fashion.
Masters in Business Administration. Thesis under way to be completed in June 2019.
Clinical Pharmacy masters program focuses on pharmaceutical care and medication therapy management. This involves interaction with health care professionals unlike the generic pharmacist who works in retail outlets and thus limited to interact only with patients.
