Required to work rotational shift and area as part of a multi disciplinary healthcare team that is delivering general medical services to patients. Providing medical screening and advice to patients, appropriate assessment; planning; implementation and evaluation of care needs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Report on scheduled duty time with complete uniform.
• Receives endorsement properly.
• Prepares the ER instruments, equipments and supplies for maximum efficiency in managing incoming patients.
• Attends to incoming patients following basic nursing principle of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Attends to emergency cases and delivers/assist in giving life-saving procedures like cardio-respiratory resuscitation, suturing/dressing minor wounds, control of bleeding, IVF insertions, etc.
• Doing initial documentation and charting of incoming patients for treatment and admission.
• Explain and prepare patients for diagnostic and treatment procedures when necessary.
• Obtain required consent forms for diagnostic and treatment procedures.
• Administer medications as ordered.
• Serves as a resource person for knowledge of medication (uses, side effects and dosage).
• Making sure that all patients are attended promptly and comfortably.

Dialysis Nurses provide care and support for patients suffering from acute and chronic renal (kidney) failure.
They assist pre- and during dialysis procedures, following physician orders.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Dialysis Nurse provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles.
In addition to general nursing care, responsibilities of Dialysis Nurses include (but are not limited to):
• Report on scheduled duty time with complete uniform.
• Receives endorsement properly.
• Familiar on various parts of the dialysis machine and the significance of such part in the operation of the said machine.
• Prepare the machine according to the universal accepted standard.
• Responsible for the setting up of dialyzer and bloodlines for patients use.
• Primes dialyzer and bloodlines
• Check all laboratory work ups and other necessary procedures.
• Records patients’ medical information and vital signs
• Perform cannulation of needle into the patient’s vascular access.
• Oversees the dialysis treatment from start to finish
• Administer vaccine and medication according to the physician’s prescription.
• Monitors patient and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients, and interprets and records information
• Identifies irregular dialysis reactions and notifies appropriate medical team members
• Secures blood works
• Teaches patients and significant others how to manage their illness, by explaining: post-treatment home care needs, diet/nutrition/exercise programs, self-administration of medication, if needed
• Provides pre- and post procedure care to patients within the Hemodialysis Unit
• Cleans and dresses permanent and temporary catheters
• Perform the reprocessing technique and procedure of dialyzers.
• Maintain high standard care for clients undergoing dialysis treatment
