I recruit prospective students for language courses (ESL), undergraduate and postgraduate programs within Canada, the Middle East, ASEAN and Eastern Europe regions. I plan VIU’s virtual and face-to-face regional student recruitment strategies, marketing campaigns and develop marketing materials. I identify and train study abroad agents; establish and build relationship with stakeholders within designated regions. Each semester I coach interns and, being a senior recruiter at VIU, train new team members. I promote VIU and Canada as a study destination to stakeholders (students, graduates, parents, schools counsellors, agents). As a RISIA, I counsel students on study permit applications, work requirements and immigration pathways. Playing an active role at VIU, I’m a member of the Employee Engagement Steering Committee.
I discover the needs and concerns of prospective students and demonstrate how Academic Partner programs can best meet those needs. I support applicants through the admissions process from initial inquiry up until acceptance and enrollment. Working with multiple software platforms (Microsoft Dynamics: Laurus, Salesforce: TargetX, Signal Vine, Moodle), I recruit prospective students, as well as produce reports to support Management, Marketing and Student Services teams.
