Lead trainer for a "Public Health in Emergencies" training organised by the Canadian Red Cross for the staff of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent in Damascus, Syria.
- Support the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) to develop public health strategies and timely community-based and health responses to the risk or presence of diseases of epidemic potential, related to the February 6 earthquake, population movement, and other needs arising from the complex crisis.
- Provide technical leadership and implementation support to epidemic preparedness and response activities in communities of the IFRC support to SARC.
- Support planning, implementation and monitoring of community mobilization as well as volunteer-based health activities in the areas of epidemic prevention, detection, preparedness and response in communities by setting up, managing and/or supporting community-based epidemic control, health promotion and disease prevention interventions.
- Coordinate the health coordination working group comprised of the different Red Cross Red Crescent movement partners in Syria.
- Conduct regular technical field visits to implementation sites of community-based activities, and the provision of clinical services supported by the IFRC across the country.
- Build and maintain knowledge, understanding and effective relationships with internal and external health actors/partners in Syria and work on consistently strengthening relationships to improve public health services and outcomes.
- Lead the process of developing the Disaster Response Emergency Fund (DREF) proposal in response to the Cholera outbreak.
- Responsible for supporting the SARC in assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, and overseeing quality implementation of SARC’s Cholera response in conjunction with SARC’s Health/community health, WASH, and Disaster Management departments.
- Provide technical training for SARC's community volunteers, and medical staff inside PHCs and Mobile Health Units on proper IPC measures and the protocol for the community and clinical management of Cholera.
- Represent the IFRC in national clusters and technical working groups including Health, WASH and lead the coordination and cooperation with WHO and UNICEF.
- Provide technical Health programming and response planning support to SARC in response to the February 6 Turkey-Syria earthquake in coordination with different internal and external partners.
- Support IFRC country/clusters offices in monitoring and disseminating regional and global epidemiological data.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders globally/regionally and on different country levels in matters of emergency health.
- Lead the technical support team and train Red Cross Red Crescent National Societies in MENA on Public Health in Emergencies, Epidemic and pandemic preparedness and control, among many others.
- Provide technical health support to IFRC-Syria country office and work closely with SARC to follow-up on the Syria health activities and medicines procurements process by conducting regular missions to Damascus. (50-50 time allocation between Beirut and Damascus)
- Responsible of the running of a community based health program in the area of Jezzine focusing on NCDs, Communicable Diseases.
- Manage the health staff working in the Lebanese Red Cross' primary health center in the Jezzine area (Nurse, social worker, and midwife)
- Maintain working relationships with municipalities, NGOs and local institutions and monitor activities implemented by them in coordination with the Lebanese Red Cross.
- Participate in the planning, and implementation of the Lebanese Red Cross' response to the Beirut Blast by mobilising Mobile Medical Units in affected areas.

▪ Responsibilities:
o Auditing key stakeholders
o Identifying public health gaps of population in the Qadaa el Metn and setting
strategies to address them.
o Monitor the health services provided to the community
o Coordinate all activities related to public health with the National & international
support bodies.
o Coordinate the delivery of public health services with stakeholders within the Qadaa.
o Gather and evaluate data, prepare and update briefs, records, and reports.

▪ Responsibilities:
o Develop and manage project database;
o Work with project team to integrate M&E into ongoing project planning and
implementation systems and ensure adherence to Mercy Corps M&E minimum
standard;
o Develop a monitoring plan for project, conduct regular monitoring visits to the
different project locations, develop monitoring reports and share with the project
team;
o Produce analytical summaries: graphs, charts, tables, narratives and appealing
visuals, as requested, to fulfill internal and external reporting requirements;
Monitoring and evaluation assistant in Child and Youth Protection Program funded by UNICEF.
▪ Responsibilities:
o Update and maintain the project database and indicator tracker
o Generate quality evidence on project impact and promote and ensure use of data
for decision-making processes;
o Coordinate with partner organizations to ensure data collection and entry;
o Assist in conducting assessments and evaluations;
o Conduct regular monitoring visits to the different project locations;
o Generate data reports (tables/graphs/reports) from the project databases at
regular intervals
