Field Epidemiology and Laboratory Training program (National Institute of Health) (June 2009 to till date)

Presently working with US aid & CDC as a Consultant (Manager Lab and Medical Technologist) for Infectious Disease Surveillance Program National Institute of Health Islamabad. I am also coordinating with all sentinel sites to resolve their issues regarding logistic and technical support. I am also involved in procurement of lab supplies and equipments of all sentinel sites. I have been coordinating with administration department for conducting training programs and conferences.

National Institute for Rehabilitation Medicine (2006-2009)

I have been working as Lab Tech in Pathology department of National Institute for rehabilitation Medicine where I have been involved in all disciplines Hematology, Bio-Chemistry, Serology, Clinical Pathology, Blood Bank and Phlebotomy.

Islamabad Diagnostic Center (2006-2007)

I have been working as a section head of microbiology department in Islamabad Diagnostic Center. In Microbiology Department I have performed all routine culture of Blood, Urine, Stool, Pus, and CSF, Throat swab, Sputum, Urethral Swab, Veginal Swab, Ear Swab, Nasal Swab, their antibiotic sensitivity testing and different staining techniques. I have been also performing most probable number (MPN) for water samples to identify different organism in water samples .I have also been preparing different kinds of culture media.
I have also assigned additional duties in different departments Hematology, Bio-Chemistry, Special Chemistry, Serology, Clinical Pathology and Phlebotomy if needed.
I have been performing Real time PCR for Hepatitis B & C. I have worked on different fully automation and semi automation.



Islamabad Private Hospital (2005-2006)

Have been working as Medical Lab Technologist in Laboratory (Super Lab) of Islamabad Private Hospital and have been involved in all routine test and updating inventory.



Islamabad Medical and Dental College (1998-2003)

Have been working as a Lab Tech in different departments Hematology, Bio-Chemistry, Serology, Clinical Pathology, Blood Bank, Microbiology and Phlebotomy of Social Security Hospital collaboration with Islamabad Medical and Dental College.

National Institute of Health (1998-2001)

Have been working as Lab Technician in Microbiology and Histopathology section of Public health Division.
In Microbiology section I have been performing microbiological analysis of drinking water, isolating coliforms and faecal coliforms by inoculating water samples on different culture media and interpreting results by following WHO standard technique of Most Probable Number (MPN).
Have been also performing culture and isolation of all kinds of specimen like Blood, Urine, Stool, Pus, CSF, Throat swab, Sputum, Urethral Swab, Veginal Swab, Ear Swab, Nasal Swab, other body fluids and Fungal culture, different staining techniques, also performed antimicrobial sensitivity testing of different isolates. I have also been preparing different kinds of culture media and sterility testing. Participated in different epidemics like Anthrax, Cholera, Bacillary dysentery and sexually Transmitted Disease. Helping out M.Sc students in their research work.
In Histopathology section I have been performing all tissue processing techniques like Gross Examination, Fixation, Dehydration, Clearing, Impregnation, Embedding, Sectioning & Trimming
