• Working as a project manager for the implementation of the new state of the art hospitality information system (Micros Fidelio and Opera) across the group properties and being acknowledged by the properties for the management and support that I’ve extended in transforming to the new system.
• Working on the alignment and uniformity of the stocks and stores of the group properties.
• Conducting the internal audit of Pearl Continental Hotels and Marriott Hotels Pakistan.
My overall responsibilities include:
• Projecting audit timelines and developing comprehensive audit programs.
• Conducting the internal audits of the group properties through independent examination of activities and financial records including an appraisal of reliability and integrity of financial information, compliance with regulations and policies and accomplishment of defined objectives.
• Internal control testing to ascertain and report on adequacy and application of designed controls for various functions of organization from financial controls, procurement and asset management to budgeting & planning and investment protocols.
• Conducting special audit/investigation assignments as advised by the office of the chief executive.
• Preparing month end financial reporting pack on Vison Excel and Vision Opera for group properties as part of the implementation of new hospitality information system.
• Revamping and streamlining the finance department with the new information system.
• Assisted in the annual audit of AKRSP (Aga Khan Rural Support Program Pakistan) 2010-11.
• Assisted in the donor audit assignment of SRSP (Sarhad Rural Support Program Pakistan) 2010-11.
• Conducted the 2010-11 half yearly internal audit of MCB Bank Corporate branch committee chowk Rawalpindi Pakistan.
• Assisted in the half yearly review of OGDCL (Oil and Gas Development Company Pakistan) 2010-11.
• Conducted audit of all revenue transactions taken place during the day.
• Reconciled revenues as per Micros with Opera.
• Posted corrections in Opera regarding GST and Banquet packages.
• Updated Micros and Opera for next day operations.
