A total of 24 Makani centers offer a multi‐sectoral approach to service provision to around of 10000 children and young people, girls and boys, families and community members. It aims to promote and contribute to children and young people’s full development and wellbeing - physical, cognitive, social and emotional. Operational support to Makani centers was channeled Logistics department in Business Development Center whilst UNICEF maintain technical oversight to ensure quality and consistency in delivery of Makani services, in line with the Logistics department standard operating procedures.

Main responsibilities:

•Implement BDC procurement and logistics policies and procedures in Jordan.
•Oversee the transport, warehousing, and distribution of goods from vendors to beneficiaries.
•Work with the Project Manager to develop a procurement plan for the life of the project and oversee timely and efficient implementation of activities in accordance with the procurement plan.
•Maintain a procurement tracking system and provide regular updates to the Project Manager.
•Collect vendor quotations, and draft Requests for Quotations (RFQ).
•Work with partner organizations to evaluate and monitor contracts, including reviewing documents received from partners for completeness and correctness and facilitating timely support from BDC.
•Evaluate and analyze vendor proposals as required to determine best value.
•Assist in the selection of appropriate suppliers and contractors to promote good procurement practice with due regard to sustainability, ethical purchasing standards and whole life costing.
•Participate in negotiations of contract terms and monitor vendor performance against these terms.
•Track BDC assets and inventory management by using a bar-coding system, tagging all assets and conducting regular inventory checks.
•Ensure safe and efficient transport of staff and materials/goods.
•Provide anti-corruption, transparency, and cost efficiency focus in all processes (procurement, vehicle management, asset management).
•Supervise, train, and develop facility Officer in both Camps (Zaatari & Azraq)
•Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date procurement files and documentation.
•Liaise with the Finance team to ensure that all procurement is conducted in accordance with BDC policies and donor regulations.
•Ensure that all procurements meet donor regulations and BDC standards and practices.
•Provide inputs for the bi-weekly and quarterly donor reports
