Working in the head of medical underwriting and risk analysis department.
In charge of:
1- Premium pricing of new business and renewals.
2- Claims forecasting and risk analysis.
3- Medical benefits analysis across multiple portfolios.
The above tasks were completed using SAS Enterprise, Power BI and Excel.
Microsoft SQL (MSSQL), which is a database language, was my main software tool throughout
the internship.
• Dashboards preparation using Microsoft Power BI and have clients seamlessly have access to
them.
• Claims reserving and services utilization using MSSQL and EXCEL.
Worked in the medical insurance field. Also, I was responsible for the following tasks:
1- Claim reserves selection: predict the following period’s expected claims based on previous data.
2- Tariff comparison: compare each provider’s service price to give recommendations whether to implement the proposed price or not.
3- Claim utilization: Collect and filter all utilized benefits separately.
4- Dashboards preparation to show all data to clients.
All the above tasks were completed using Excel, SQL and Power BI.
My major is a combination of statistics, mathematics, computer science and finance.
