Responsible for the overall management of the finance department of the group, ensuring compliance with Corporate and Taxation Laws for Pakistan, U.A.E.& Iraq along with periodic internal and external reporting.
I am currently working as audit associate with Khalid Majid Rehman and have worked in different capacities with different departments.
Audit and Assurances
As part of audit and assurances division of KMR, I have diversified experience in audit of companies in the Oil & Gas, Telecommunication, Software and Government Sector. The responsibilities include dealing with finance department of the client and presenting completed jobs to Senior Management for review.
• Developing the audit strategy and plan which in turn includes obtaining understanding of the client’s business, information systems and internal control environment.
• Preparing tailored audit program focused on individual audit client’s business areas significant to the financial statements that are relevant to the client’s risk profile.
• Performing test of controls and determining nature, timing and extent of substantive procedures based on the control assessment of existing internal controls.
• Preparation of accounts keeping in view reporting requirements of the entity.
• Ensuring that financial statements are prepared in conformity with the identified local and international financial reporting frameworks.
Business Advisory and Consultancy Services
• Assisting senior management in business development assignments requiring preparation of technical and financial proposals, conducting feasibility studies, devising methodologies, work breakdown structures and manning schedules for projects.
• Assisted senior management in preparation of audit proposal of USAID funded project.
• Prepared and filed Annual Returns with SECP for different clients.
• Prepared memorandum and articles of association for different new companies including power and not for profit companies;
• Prepared and filed forms for windup of different clients.
• Assisted in preparation of audit proposal of USAID funded project.
• Developed different documents for investor relations and investor education of capital markets.
