• Ensure Safety, reliability and availability of electrical equipment and be responsible for the management of all repairs and maintenance of Power generation equipment in Coral Bay, Hopetoun, Bremer Bay, Kalgoorlie, Kalbarri Power Stations, KBESS 1 and KBESS substation 100MW/200MWh, VPP4S Schools and Alkimos BESS.
• Provide expert advice on the ongoing management and operations of generation assets in allocated Power stations.
• Conduct RCA (Root Cause Analysis) investigations into the plant operational incidents/faults and identify opportunities for resultant improvement repairs and maintenance
• Investigate plant operating/performance problems, as reported by others, or observed through frequent contact with the plant, devise and recommend or initiate solutions.
• Plan, supervise/coordinate or carry out activities, associated with manufacture, installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance/repair of equipment and systems as required.
• Carry out technical inspection, prepare reports with recommendations and/or arrange necessary action.
• Prepare/check/assess/coordinate designs, calculations, estimates, sketches, specifications/tenders, working drawings and schedules.
• Contribute to the development of innovative strategies to manage plant risk exposure and maximise business performance.
• Provide Engineering support to outage leads during plant shutdowns.
• Accountable for all HV, LV, instrumentation and controls decisions made regarding the plant.
• Development of plant inspection, safety and work procedures and train relevant personnel in those procedures.
• Assess and recommend critical plant spares requirements and material procurement.
• Develop Asset Management Plans and strategies for plant reliability.
Designed, drafted, developed/ configured, tested, and commissioned of HV Substation
automation and process control.
Configured and commissioned of HV substation RTU/PLC, I/O Cards and HMI & network
equipment including Eaton cooper, GE D200, Siemens & ABB.
Implemented HV substation automation protection systems & schemes.
Commissioned on site of HV substation Automation SCADA equipment & ELV
automation cubicle wiring and cable termination.
Executed substation protocols DNP3, Modbus & IEC 61850 (GOOSE & MMS).
Prepared and reviewed Job safety analysis reports for clients.
Designed power distribution and control system including motor control centre, circuit
breakers, switches, transformers, PLC, relays and HMI.
Designed electrical drawings in AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio software:
