• Scope:
Jeddah South Container Terminal is part of the existing Jeddah Islamic Port - a crucial link
in the world’s busy east-west trade routes through the Red Sea and catering to a rich domestic
cargo base. The terminal has been operated by DP World middle east limited. The new facility
is envisioned to attract the latest ship generation and to eventually develop the terminal
capacity up to 3.8 MTEUs.
DPW appointed Saudi Archirodon Ltd. (hereafter “Archirodon”) as the Design and Build,
which in turn appointed CH2M Saudi Ltd (Jacobs) as their Design Consultant.
The works include the following main tasks:
- Refurbishment of existing livestock quay wall to receive feeder vessels, including
reinstating the berth seabed level to the original construction depth (-14m CD) and raising
the reclamation level to match the main yard area level.
- Deepening the existing main quay wall up to -18m CD and extending it 249 m, to receive
Super Post Panamax vessels.
- Refurbishment of the livestock and main yards including:
o New buildings, automated in/out gates, pavement, signage/markings, fences.
o Provisions for ERTG (Electrified Rubber Tired Gantry) operation,
provisions/installation for x-rayfacilities, empty and out-of-gauge container yards,
reefer gantries, fuel station, RTG maintenancearea, leakage pits.
o Utility networks including power, UPS, SCADA, BMS, water, sewerage, stormwater,
firefighting, telephone, lighting, earthing, lighting protection, fire detection, fire alarms.
Project: Construction of new phosphate port at Laayoune, Morocco
• Client: PHOSBOUCRAA S.A. (Subsidiary of OCP Group)
• Budget: 500, 000, 000 $
• Scope:
The scope of works of this EPC project includes the following:
- Caisson breakwater protecting structure with a total length of approximately 950m, part of which
will also be acting as a quay structure for the berthing of two vessels to provide loading / unloading of
solid and liquid bulk.
- An access bridge (trestle) to the berthing structures with a total length of
approximately 3.2km, erected using Spud Launching Girder (SLG) JV with DEAL
- An onshore ground access ramp to the bridge
- A floating Service quay, with two access footbridges.
- All the equipment necessary to ensure safe berthing and mooring for ships including bollards, fenders,
ladders, mooring aid systems etc.
- All desilting, dredging and rock excavation works for an access channel and a turn-around basin.
- The supply and installation of aids to navigation
- The implementation of the various utility networks from the battery limits at the shoreline to the
berths.
- The seawater intake and seawater supply structure with two submerged pipes laid approximately
200m north of the trestle, with an intake header located starting at approximate level -10mCD and a
Pumping Station (Booster Well) near the shoreline
Project: Satellite desalination plants along West Coast
• Client: Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC)
The project is a part of a huge project that involves the construction of eight satellite desalination plants
located on the Red Sea coast, Saudi Arabia. The plants will have a capacity of 240, 000 cubic meters of
water per day. Eight locations have been identified by SWCC (north to south): Haql, Duba, Al Wajh,
Umm Lujj, Rabigh, Al Lith, Qunfudha, and the Farasan Islands for the construction of these
desalination plants. The project will help Saudi government-owned Saudi Saline Water Conversion
Corp (SWCC) raise production efficiency and cut operating and capital costs.
• Project: Development of Waterfront in Obhur
• Client: Jeddah Municipality
Development of waterfront of Obhur, north Jddah 245, 000 m2, Infrastructures, Roads, Landscape and marine
structures
- Following all technical issues, submittals, material supply, management meeting and
progress for construction of civil works at company projects, (Bridges, Road, landscape,
Infrastructure networks.
Project: Wasat Al-Awamiyah Development Project
• Client: Eastern Region Municipality
Development of 180, 000 m2 in the heart of old town Al-Awamyah, Eastern region in a very tight time
frame, 238m SR cost for construction of building, infrastructure and landscape, Buildings include cultural
centre 5300m2 and markets &court yard more than 7000m2, 5 towers and 3 underground tanks. Project
will help in development of old town and be civilized and matches with new kingdom vision 2030.
• Duties: Supervision construction Building, Infrastructure & Management of the project elements
- Ensure that the Contractor at site is executing the civil works as per the agreement
requirements and the specifications of the client.
- Review& Approve all structural documents, drawings, reports
- Manage and supervise the progress of civil works at site, and ensure the civil works are being
executed on time and budget.
- Ensure that client’s expectations are satisfied within the limits of the contract agreement
requirements.
- Verify that all the civil works carried out by the contractor are as per the specifications and
the contract agreement of the client.
- Supervising and directing the supervision team on their duties and assignments.
- Reporting to the project manager and project director about the progress (time, cost and
quality) of the civil works.

Member of FAST Consortium which are one of three consortia
contracted by Arriyadh Development Authority to design and build the
Riyadh Metro Project.
The FAST Consortium of companies is led by Spanish construction group FCC and includes partners
Samsung C&T, Alstom, Strukton, Freyssinet Saudi Arabia, Atkins, Typsa and Setec.
