Education

Bachelor's degree, General competence
  • at Damascus University
  • October 2017

I entered the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the University of Damascus in September 2010 and I am very proud and happy, I have succeeded in 6 courses out of 7 in the first semester, and in the second semester succeeded in 6 of the 8 courses. In the middle of the second semester, the crisis began in Syria, and later my father lost his job and could no longer afford the family. I had to move away from university and work so that I could meet my family's needs, that is why I have been late in my graduation, but later on I went back to university in addition to my work because I did not want to lose my university and the specialization I loved. I remained studying and working side by side until I graduated because God instilled determination in my heart and mind. I was very ambitious to get a certificate despite all the suffering during the years which I spent at university and work. During these years I learned the academic stuff at the university, where the courses were many and include most aspects of civil engineering in general, such as construction, bridges, roads, transportation, dams, administration, construction technology, engineering drawing, design, soil mechanics, geotechnics, engineering mechanics and other important courses in civil engineering. Besides academic learning I found it difficult to find the time to do courses in engineering because of the pressure of work, but nevertheless I sometimes go out to see projects that will be implemented or projects under construction, In addition, my work at PUI helped me to gain more experience by presenting opinions and ideas, how to implement them, calculate quantities, monitor progress and quality of work, Check the material and conform to the specifications, I have also learned how to use engineering programs and other programs to benefit me during the university and beyond through the attendance of engineering courses and self-learning, and I have benefited from this by getting 84% in the graduation project in the last year.

High school or equivalent, General Secondary
  • at Ministry of Education
  • July 2010

In 2009, I received a general secondary certificate. The total was 183 out of 240, equivalent to 76.25%, but this sum is small and does not meet my ambitions. There was a major reason for getting this low percentage. My father had a heart attack During the examination period, we took him to the hospital and stayed for about a week and I had to stay by his side all the time. This has negatively impacted my studies and I can no longer concentrate very well, but thank God my father is finally out of the hospital and that's the most important thing for me. So I decided to take the exam again in the following year based on my desire to get higher grades and authorize me to enter the university with high competence. I have already taken the exam with strong motivation and great determination to get a high rate and I was confident myself to do so, and I have already earned a total of 225 240 ie 93.75% and I have chosen to enter Civil Engineering with all my will because it is a very sophisticated specialty and requires a distinct quality of people seeking Always to develop itself and advance its society.
