• Participate in the development and implement the employee shared services strategy providing inputs from the regional perspective.
• Review and report to the Group Employee Services Manager, the effectiveness of such policies and procedures, to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Provide input on the regional function‘s budget requirements to the Group Employee Services Manager, and accordingly control expenses of the regional function, ensuring it stays within its operating budget
• Advise and guide management on all procedural/ legal obligations to be followed in case of on boarding/off boarding employees, from a regional perspective. Highlight possible risks, delays, etc. with a view to secure/protect the best interest of the Group.
• Monitor the regional legal and regulatory environment, including changes to rules, regulations and laws that may affect operations of the Group or any part of it and proactively advise the senior management to ensure compliance.
• Handle staff grievances and disciplinary issues and provide appropriate guidance to line managers for efficient and satisfactory resolution of the same in line with HR policies procedures and undertake suitable measures to aid retention.
• Follow through on the implementation of HR policies and procedures and facilitate its application in a fair and equitable manner. Collate region specific experience and contribute to further refining and development of HR policies and procedures.
• Facilitate communication line on HR matters to ensure dissemination of information to intended recipients and between regional offices and corporate / BU HR.
• Provide HR support in the staffing, on- boarding and off boarding to respective Business Units.
• Ensure safe custody, orderly storage and retrieval of Governments documents/ information, employees’ personnel files, passports and other important documents and receipts.
• Coordinate amongst all stakeholders for issuing or renewing Trading licenses, Commercial registration and related GR and establishment matters requiring governmental interface.
• Oversee administrative support to handle issues with Banks, IT support, customs clearance, and logistics in the region.
• Ensure applicable system updates, where mandated/ required, suitable documentation and record keeping in line with all internal and external audit requirements.
• Plan, coordinate and manage funds for regional personnel activities to ensure availability of funds for fees, forms, and all associated expenses for un-interrupted and smooth functioning of services. Ensure accurate and timely documentation, replenishment, utilization of funds and billing to respective company/ activity.
• Assist in manpower planning and budgeting process, providing inputs to help identify requirements and prepare manpower budgets (where applicable).
• Devise and implement plan for new employee induction and orientation at all levels within the units and subsequent follow-up on progress of new recruits in their jobs through the induction & probation period including identification of any training needs to complement the learning on the job.
• Recruiting staff - this includes developing job descriptions, preparing advertisements, checking application forms, short listing, interviewing and selecting candidates.
• Assist in review and update of job profiles in consultation with Line Manager and coordination with corporate HR for suitable formalizing of the role profile and job evaluation where necessary.
• Maintaining records relating to staff
• Facilitate the performance management process, drive appraisal process for its successful conclusion during probation and annual cycle, review & report outcomes to HR Manager for further analysis & decisions in training, reward & performance management area.
• Where appropriate, handle staff grievances & disciplinary issues and provide appropriate guidance to line managers for efficient & satisfactory resolution of the same in line with HR policies procedures and undertake suitable measures to aid retention.
• Taking care of all GR and Administration issues.
• Provide counseling and advice to all employees in line with company and HR policies and procedures.
• Follow through on the implementation of HR policies & procedures and collate unit level experience and contribute to further refining & development of HR policies & procedures.
• Facilitate smooth transition of employees exiting the organization by coordinating with the relevant departments in ensuring payment of final settlement dues and cancellation of visas within appropriate time frame.
• Responsible of all Branch ATM’s and vault management.
• Responsible for checking all the financial reports of the branch.
• Presents information on available services such as deposit accounts, loans, products, and product alternatives.
• Ascertains financial services needs and interests of new customers through discussions.
• Selling and cross-selling a wide range of Gulf Bank products and services by understanding customers’ needs; answering inquiries; & informing customers of new products and promotions.
• Opening all sorts of accounts: saving, current, Fixed Deposits…
• Responsible of all Branch ATM’s and vault management.
• Selling Credit cards. Visa/ Master Cards.
•Buying and selling of foreign currencies, telex transfers, general draft and certified cheques.
