Job Responsibilities
° Establish the financial Planning concept within the group (4 plants with capacity more than 2MT steel)
° Establish & lead the budget process within the group (plants and Management Company) and standardize a model for the monthly budget.
° Lead the SAP implementation within the group (establish cost centers, profit center, chart of account and the financial cycle…)
° Contribute in the preparation of the group business plan to explore source of finance for new projects.
° Support the evaluation of new investment opportunities (modeling &valuation), supervise & control new projects spending, product pricing and the cost optimization process.
Achievements
° Participate in securing source of financing 2 melt shop plants with latest technology (4.8 M billion EGP was granted to the group).
° Prepare the steel financial reporting manuals which become the base of the financial reporting within the group.
° Oversee the continuous improvement of planning processes and the development of the team with the goal to achieve best practices and optimal output.
•Prepare in timely manner financial synthesis including an analysis of the region financial /operational performance versus budget/forecast & last year (market evolution, volume and prices analysis, Key financial results, industrial performance Capex including new project status, savings, working capital & cash position..) for management usage.
•Review the budgeting and forecasting data submitted by region BUs & coordinate between the BUs controllers and the division team to ensure that all Division requirements & guidelines are fulfilled and prepare analysis reports for the region budget/forecast covering all the operational & business assumptions.
•Validate and analyze Bus financial information, ensuring that variances are analyzed.
•Prepare business plan for new Bus in coordination with LMEA finance team and various stakeholders (RP, strategy, Division control, DEC, CTC….) in addition to review impairment test & strategy review.
•Actively interact on the workshops aiming on enhancing the region financial performance (SWC optimization, excellence targets setting, Capex …) and follow up with Bus to achieve targets.
•Prepare the required analysis / presentation given ad-hoc requests & queries from RP, Region & division control.
•Act as business advisor to top management to define their profitability requirements, regarding Line of business, branches, and product and customer profitability and then revise product pricing.
•Help top management on selecting the way of expenses allocation to several cost centers, product& customers. (Water fall method or ABC costing),
•Acting as an advisor to ALCO on selecting methods to transfer price fund from one center (source of fund) to another (uses of fund).
•Help on defining ALM requirements such as static and dynamic gap, repricing gap, liquidity gap, cash flow design, Sensitivity Analysis & VaR Calculation.
Successful projects: NSGB, CIB, Bank Misr, Gulf international bank in Bahrain & Al-Rajhi bank (Saudi Arabia) which is the largest bank on Middle East.
•Prepare analytical reports required by Senior Management / ALCO committee (weekly, monthly and quarterly) i.e. income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, cost of funds...etc.
•Prepare and monitor the bank’s budget and strategic Business Plan on consolidated form and by LOB.
•Monitoring actual results Vs budget and analyze the variance including branches results.
•Acting as branches controller &Prepare a quarter forecasts based on actual results.
•Prepare external reports required by interested parties and rating agencies
•Work closely with external consultants on projects (organization charts restructure, unifying procedures ….).
•Monitor and analyze the branches financial performances & help in setting branches targets.
•Working closely with business Development in setting the new products characteristics, preparing the procedures & manuals needed before launching new products.
