requirements, machine specifications, investment cost, economics and define the
synergy with existing facilities and institutes for petrochemical clusters
Cooperation with local authorities to define the permits and approval required
to comply with regulations for petrochemical clusters.
Styrene project EPC early work activities.
Petro-refinery Pre-feasibility study in Egypt.
Market survey for propylene derivatives in Egypt.
Strategic planning for Egyptian petrochemical industry and business plan.
Feasibility studies, Promotion for new projects bioethanol from rice straw and
molasses, aromatics fertilizers complex.
Study of NGL extraction from LNG imported in Egypt.
Study of establishment of Naphtha cracker study Suez Canal Corridor.
Pre-feasibility study of urea-formaldehyde 65-85 project.
• Review Polyethylene and Polybutadiene Projects BEDP (Basic Engineering Documents Package) such as PFDs, P&IDs, Heat and Material Balance, Process Description, Complex Control Loops, Cause and Effect Diagram, Alarm and Trip Set Point, Basis Of Design, Scope Of Work, Codes and Standards …etc.
• Basic HAZOP/SIL/HAZID/QRA studies.
• Preparing and issuing of Polyethylene and Polybutadiene project invitation to bid (ITB) as follow:
• Review Technical part of ITB (BEDP, project specifications, Basis of Design, vendor List, …etc)
• Review of Commercial section including draft Contract and its attachment.
• Participation in Polyethylene Project bidding phase on TURNKEY LUMP SUM Basis from issuing ITB, receiving comments from EPC Contractor, reply on EPC contractors clarifications, receiving EPC contractor proposals, proposals review, clarification with EPC contractors on their proposals, till technical evaluation report.
• Preparation and review of Polyethylene, and Polybutadiene EIA Report.
• Negotiation, reviewing and preparing TURNKEY LUMP SUM EPC Contract with Awarded contractor for Ethylene and Polyethylene Project till signature.
• Preparation, negotiation and review of Polybutadiene License, BEDP and ITB agreement (including scope of work, process Guarantees, and liquidated damages…etc) till signature of License Agreement.
• Preparation of technical studies regarding process issues internally such as (flare system, nitrogen consumptions, waste management…etc) to support decision taking.
• Review and comment on the Butadiene Derivatives feasibility study.
• Update Polybutadiene feasibility study in house to review economical and marketing aspect of the project, optimize project configuration as task force member.
• Participation on Value Engineering negotiation with Ethylene EPC Contractor.
• Detailed Engineering reviews including process datasheet, P&IDs, PFDs, MRQ, Detailed HAZOP/SIL studies, Package Equipments HAZOP/SIL for Polyethylene.
• EPC Contract, License Agreement tracking for the purpose of checking fulfills of contractors and licensors obligation toward the Owner.
Prepare and review feasibility study of Downstream Clusters master Plan and GTO (Gas To Olefins) projects.
(March- October 2010) Pre commissioning and commissioning, support at E-Methanex
-Pre-commissioning, commissioning activities for Damietta-1 methanol plant include flushing, blowing, leak test, punch list, commissioning of pumps, catalyst loading, pigging, motor solo run, turbine solo run
(November 2010-june 2011) Start up support at E-Methanex -Preparing and issuing Commissioning Acceptance Certificate for Damietta-1 Methanol Plant units which include (Utilities, gas conditioning &Saturator, Primary Steam reformer, Secondary Reformers, Syn gas loop, Methanol Converters, Distillation, and tanks & Loading area.)
-Efficiency calculation of equipments (Boilers, Cooling Tower, Pumps, Compressors, Turbines and Fans).
-Performance test preparation and execution (including monitoring the plant, calculation of process guarantee figures).
• Preparing in house pre feasibility and Feasibility study evaluation as task force member at Egyptian Petrochemical holding Company in Business Development (BD) department.
• Participate in the technical study of the project including: Licenses evaluation, site selection, Feed providence, design capacity, utility needed, expected demand, Site assessment & EIA reports and capital cost estimation, SWOT Analysis, Sensitivity Analysis .
• Preparing and review Financial Models for new projects, marketing analysis, market studies .
• Negotiation with investor, Promotion of new projects and Contractual agreements analysis such as MOU, LOI, JVA.
• Pre project agreements (land, feedstock, environmental…etc.)
