As a MEP Technical Office Manager, I lead a team of MEP technical office and tender engineers. I coordinate the priority of tasks and ensure they are completed with optimal performance. I attend progress meetings, discuss and suggest technical proposals. I manage cost analysis and control of site activities. I review third-party and client invoices, and follow up with subcontractors during negotiations and payments.
I review technical outcomes from team members. I communicate and coordinate with stakeholders within projects. I am responsible for a group of projects. I revise and approve progress reports. I assign team members to projects based on schedule and priorities. I issue quality standards for engineering team outputs. I review material submittals and ensure compatibility with project standards. I prepare bi-monthly reports for project statuses. I issue to-do lists for team members. I revise calculations from technical office team members.
• Delegate tasks to subordinates and provide them with the necessary support to ensure high levels of performance. - Review project documents (specs, drawings, BOQ) to determine if the budget is sufficient. - Assist in the preparation of method statements with the construction and quality control teams. - Review the material list and follow up with the purchasing department to ensure timely delivery. - Follow up and review the quantity surveying process, as well as client and subcontractor invoices, to ensure accuracy. - Resolve any technical issues or construction errors that may arise on-site to prevent project delays. - Prepare variation orders and claims throughout the project and negotiate them with the client until final approval is obtained. - Follow up on the preparation of periodic reports and ensure timely submission to relevant parties.
• Leading a team of electrical and mechanical engineers, coordinating between the priorities of tasks which should be done first, and finishing all tasks with the best performance. - Estimating and pricing various electrical and mechanical works for projects and preparing the budget for projects according to the current prices in the national market. - Designing and reviewing engineering plans, designs, and shop drawings for projects like tourist villages with all services, administration buildings, water desalination plants, hospitals, residential buildings, etc. - Supervising various projects. - Writing detailed reports on current systems and changes to each site. - Maintaining relationships with employers and contractors.
• Designing huge projects like a Water Treatment Plant with a capacity of one million cubic meters per day and a set of Solar Energy Plants with a total capacity of twelve megawatts. - Preparing and reviewing engineering plans, designs, and drawings for projects like Water Treatment Plants, Solar PV Plants, Hospitals, Administration Buildings, Residential Buildings, and projects related to the water sector. - Designing and preparing all requirements for projects such as Bedding Documents, Technical Specications & Conditions, Evaluations of bidders, Tests & Inspections, etc. - Reviewing all the technical documents such as Bidding/Tendering Documents, Drawings (Designs, SLD, Wiring Diagrams, etc.). - Estimating and pricing various electrical works for projects and preparing the budget for projects. - Executing various projects such as Water Treatment Plants, Solar PV Plants, Hospitals, Administration Buildings, Residential Buildings, and projects related to the water sector, ensuring compliance with safety requirements, international and Egyptian standards. - Identifying and proposing improvements to existing electrical systems. - Estimating cash ow projections for projects. - Troubleshooting electrical systems/equipment.
• Writing detailed reports on current systems and changes to each site. - Maintaining relationships with crews and contractors.
• In the Automotive Sector: Installed and maintained: - Air Line Equipment such as SHAMAL and SULLAIR compressors - Automatic Washing System for CAR WASH Machines, specically CECCATO - Workshop Equipment including Spray Booths, Lifts, and Tyre workshop equipment such as Wheel Alignment / Balancer Machines for brands like CEMB, John Bean, and others - Fuel Station Equipment such as TOKHEIM pumps
• In the Woodworking Sector: Installed and maintained Woodworking machines for the SCM Group and other brands.
• In the Heavy/CNC Machines and Tools Sector: Installed and maintained Flat and Slant Bed Lathes and other equipment.
1. As a Junior Electrical Design Engineer, I successfully designed and implemented electrical systems for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. 2. In my role as Tender/Procurement Engineer, I effectively managed the tender process by conducting market research, sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and delivering cost-effective solutions for the company. 3. I played a key role in coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely and successful execution of electrical design projects, resulting in improved efficiency and customer satisfaction. 4. As a proactive problem solver, I identified potential risks and challenges during the tendering process and developed strategies to mitigate them, resulting in increased protability and reduced project delays. 5.
