- Preparation of Subcontracts and compiling with all the required appendices and negotiation subcontract conditions till signature by relevant parties.
- Provide contractual advice to project management team to support proper decision making.
- Review, analyze, coordinate and reply to contractual correspondences with Subcontractors, client, consortium partner.
- Responsible for subcontract and main contract early start activities including issuance and review of LGs, insurance policies, and all contractual deliverables.
- Review, analyze, verify, evaluate and respond to contractual claims including from Subcontractors including preparation and update of claims logs.
- Review and certify Subcontractors invoices, review payment status (statements of account) of subcontractors and ensure all additions, omissions, deductions, and retentions are included with all necessary supporting documents.
- Responsible for reporting the overall project contractual status (invoicing, payments, claims, VOs, amendments, conflict resolution…etc.)
- Conduct and manage periodic meetings with Subcontractors for discussing, negotiating and closing variations in coordination with project management team.
- Responsible for subcontract and main contract closeout procedures including the necessary coordination until the issuance of the TOAC and FAC.
- Review and ensure timely updates of all contract administration logs and project contracts reports including areas of concern, contract financial status, VO status, claims status, etc.
- Initiation of claims and counterclaims, identification of claim events, preparation of claim statements and notices, ensure the proper contemporary records are maintained.
- Initiation, notification, preparation, substantiation of variations including the necessary internal and external communications.
- Preparation of Instruction to Bidders, Form of Agreement, General Condition and Conditions of Particular Application, Appendix to Tender forming part of Tender Documents.
- Review of contract terms and conditions included within RFPs and issuance of relevant clarifications and comments, if any.
- Preparation of Client/Consultant Agreements, Employer/Contractor Agreements, Sub-consultancy Agreements, Memorandum of Understanding, Joint Venture Agreements, Pre-bid Agreements and Confidentiality Agreements.
- Review and responding to contractual queries received from tenderers in due course.
- Preparation of negotiation meeting form and Letter of Award.
- Investigation and evaluation of claims and preparation of the appropriate contractual assessment.
- Preparation, issuance and respond to contractual correspondences to clients and contractors.
· Perform closing activities as stipulated in the contract..
· Conducting the development of procurement plan, handling and following up procurement activities to secure its achievement in compliance with the project requirement.
· Conducting preparation, compiling and issuance of tender documents including instruction to bidders, form of agreement, general condition and conditions of particular application, appendix to tender, specifications, drawings and bill of quantities.
· Organizing, handling, and conduction site visits, pre-bid meetings, bid opening meetings.
· Conducting evaluation procedures of contractors and suppliers offers and report to project manager & client for final decision.
· Contacting suppliers and vendors to secure offers for any required purchase order.
· Development and placement of purchase orders and agreements pertinent to the project.
· Preparation and/or review of terms and for procurement contracts.
· Follow up the delivery status of the equipment and material required for the construction process.
Projects:
- Solvay Alexandria Sodium Carbonate Plant: the procurement activities with the project comprises the supply and provision of pumps, valves, pipes, steel structure, civil works, electrical and instrumentation works.
· Administrating Contracts and Subcontracts with respect to changes; amending documents accordingly and ensuring that control systems are updated with the latest parties’ commitment
information.
· Advising office departments and sections on contract terms and conditions.
· Drafting contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders and their relevant documents to comply with the company’s administrative and financial policies.
· Reviewing project correspondences received and advising any problem areas together with identification of any changes/additions/deletions to the contract.
· Review and approve payments pertinent to the progress payments.
· Participating in the process of developing and preparing supporting documentations for claims submission.
· Conducting and handling of procurement activities regarding the supplies (equipment and machinery) of one of company’s Mega projects (BMIC Cement Plant).

· Follow up engineering process, design and detailing works by technical office.
· Follow up the manufacturing process and ensure the compliance with the project requirements.
· Coordination with Clients pertaining to clarifications, transportation and shipping documents and procedures.
· Following procurement activities relating to project in accordance with Procurement department.
· Following packing and transportation of fabricated items.
· Issuing of invoices and packing lists.
· Evaluation of bids and tenders offered by suppliers.
