- Leading the rotating activities such as checking equipment preservation, flange parallelism, and pipe strain, soft-foot, and final alignment
- Working with several kinds of single- and multi-stage centrifugal pumps, horizontal and vertical (like Weir Gabbioneta, Flowserve, Finder, trillium, and KSB), high-speed pumps and centrifugal compressors (from SUNDYNE International), and positive displacement pumps (National Oil Wheel, Peroni, SEKO, Ruherpumpen Pump), and fan coolers
- Overseeing the load run and OTP to ensure efficient operations of the mechanical equipment and systems across projects
- Inspecting all construction activities are completed prior to taking up the system for commissioning, and ensuring the setting up of safety procedures
- Executing mechanical activities for MEG injection pumps, MRU recovery units, and SWS units
- Managing mechanical completion, pre-commissioning and commissioning, OTP and start-up for fan coolers
- Guiding the preparation for rotating equipment such as lube oil flushing, lubricant, and grease filling, charge the mechanical seal plan according to API 682, motor solo run tests, and load run tests
- Maintaining plant’s safety operating limits while ensuring compliance with the company quality policies
- Executing static equipment maintenance such as vessels, separators, PSV, towers, drums, and boilers
- Leading static equipment activities such as checking installations and internals according to mechanical drawings, GA, and P&ID for vessels, drums, separators, and towers
- Ensuring that all maintenance work is planned and executed to a high level of complexity and minimum risk
- Managing the implementation of all HSE policies and procedures to achieve responsible care objectives
- Supervising follow-up systems’ walk-downs, punch list’s execution and items Cat A and B clearance
- Developing projects’ presentations to detail project scope, progress, and results via utilizing my strong background in quality and documents control
- Coordinating between the construction site and engineering office to identify slippages, and discuss them with project managers
- Leading diverse projects including oil production treating plants, batteries, tank farm against API 650, API 653, water injection systems, firefighting systems, and freshwater plants
- Supervising all construction and piping activities, ensuring all work scopes are in compliance with the contract via utilizing scientific work methods and according to ASME 31.3, API 570.
- Overseeing the subcontractors’ work including piping, tank erection, and repairs for utmost output quality
- Interpreting blueprints to allocate deviations projects while complying with the quality control procedures
- Overseeing the company’s mechanical commissioning activities for projects, handling 75% of gas oil and 80% of LPG of Egypt’s imports by multiple deep-water jetties
- Managing site implementation of plant’s construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning for rotating package and skids
- Reviewing the final PID, GA, mechanical drawing from the point of view of commissioning and start-up
- Working with Sulzer’s API 610 VS6/VS7 vertical can pumps, BB3 type multistage pumps
- Executing mechanical activities for screw compressors, air utility package with Atlas Copco compressors, dosing package, firefighting pumps, and progressive cavity pumps
- Supervising the rotating equipment commissioning such as operating test procedures against API 686, checking flange parallelism, and evaluating temperature and vibration levels according to ISO 10816
- Leading commissioning, OTP, and start-up of fan coolers
- Coordinating systems’ walk-downs, and punch list items Cat A and B clearance
- Leading the commissioning and pre-commissioning for mechanical packages and piping activities while ensuring that all the technical documents are available
- Overseeing the load run and OTP with proper procedures to ensure that all machinery, equipment, and systems are operating well
- Executing static equipment activities such as checking installation of equipment drawing, GA, P&ID, vessels, drums, separators, towers, and filtration packages
- Executing commissioning activity for high-speed centrifugal pumps single and multi-stage, centrifugal compressors, and positive displacement pumps
- Managing the rotating equipment commissioning including operating test against API 686, checking flange parallelism, and evaluating temperature and vibration levels according to ISO 10816
- Review and revise mechanical completion for various systems according to project documents and drawings through walk-throw and punch lists.
- Follow-up the piping commissioning and pre-commissioning activities (pipe cleaning, water flushing, air blowing, flange management, hydro testing, leak testing, chemical cleaning, and lube oil flushing).
- Developing mechanical maintenance strategies and ensuring that all clients' needs are met while maintaining punctuality
- Perform machinery alignment checks via laser and dial gauge, and vibration acceptance test for rotating machines
- Ensuring that mechanical equipment, piping, skids, facilities, and commissioning are completed according to project specifications and safety measures
- Leading the installation, maintenance, mechanical seal, bearing replacement, and overhauling according to vendor IOM and standards such as API 610, API 675, API 682
- Performing diagnoses troubleshooting for power generators such as CAT, Perkins, Volvo, Cummins, Duites, and Komatsu according to vendor IOM
- Setting up inspections, SAT, and FAT in clients ‘for mechanical equipment and packages when required
- Responding to breakdowns, diagnose faults, and repair equipment as well as creating maintenance
