➢ Monthly Closing and budgeting Activities:
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting package reporting for Cartesis.
- Submitting sales package to Cartesis .
- Reconcile P&L Summary schedule to Cartesis Income Statement .
- Review TB & coordinate to SFC before closing.
- Maintain the required provisions and adjustments .
- Analytical review of Balance Sheet & income statement and review unusual movements
- Strict adherence to company financial policies and procedures and IAS.
- Make sure that the required monthly accounts transactions and reports are produced on time.

➢ Payroll and Staff cost Activities:
- Initiate and review the payroll pre-process and process the monthly card for staff salaries, full and final settlements and inter-company / head office transfers.
- Review monthly deduction list and staff payment for the staff.
- Review the reconciliation of payroll YTD accruals with GL.
- Prepare forecasting staff cost reports to the management with comparison.
- Check staff recharge between stores.
- Follow up pending HRDF.
➢ Operating expense and General ledger Activities:
- Reviews, investigates and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries and documents.
- Review of the LPO follow and invoice not received.
- Review prepayment expenses.
- Ensure the preparation of statutory accounts in the Store.
- Follow up and analyze Inter-company transfers and recharges.
- Review all general expense supplier payments.
- Ensure timely payments to all Carrefour suppliers.
- Prepare the monthly operating management reports (revenue and OPEX) and help the managers in their monthly analysis of their revenue and OPEX.
- Follow up archiving the GL documents to facilitate retrieval of the documents without delay and hassles.
- Monitor the invoice control process to ensure that all the controls and processes are executed.
- Oversee and control the work of the A/P and G/L Supervisors.

➢ Activities related to other departments:
- Co-coordinate with Head office legal department and suppliers for store agreements preparation and follow up properly the same.
- Manage and follow up the control of the stock taking.
- Assist the Finance Manager on forecasts and budgets preparation.
- Provide external auditors with needed explanations concerning audit issues.
- Prepare any additional financial activities as directed by the store Finance Manager.
➢ Other Activities :
- Prepare BCP reports ( Business Continues Planning) for JDE scenario, Cartesis scenario, and payroll scenario in order to maintain a contingency plan

➢ Budget Process
- Communicate with Trading and Commercial department collecting the approved margin and quantities assumptions.
-Calculate inventory levels based on budgeted quantities.
- Communicate with HR collecting budgeted related employees costs for both Plant and SGA budgets.
- Calculate cost of goods sold budget and prepare a cost of goods sold budget
- Calculate contribution margin per ton and total contribution margin

- Prepare a capital expenditure budget for all Plant and office CAPEX and calculate budget depreciation expense.
- Prepare pro forma financial statements and the cash budget.
- Participate in preparing feasibility studies and capital budgets for projects and evaluate it by evaluation techniques like:( NPV, IRR, payback period and profitability index )
➢ Variance analysis:
- RM Price & Production Efficiency Variance.
- Performance analysis by comparing actual costs to the standard cost.
- Calculate favorable and unfavorable variances from budget.
- Provide explanations for variances based on the situation presented.
- Applying Management by Exception to highlight major deviations.
➢ Financial statements analysis:
- Prepare Income statement based on different approaches: (managerial decision making approach and GAAP approach)
- Calculating and interpreting financial ratios
- Analyze working capital by calculating the current ratio, quick ratio and cash ratio, .etc.
- Calculate accounts receivable turnover and inventory turnover
- Calculate day’s sales outstanding in receivables to be compared with the credit period.

➢ Supervision of book keeping and daily process:
- Approving the journal entries to ensure appropriate classification.

- Overseeing payment processes through different credit instruments with banks.
