GTS provides Information Security and Network Security professional services in Egypt and Gulf area. I’m part of the PS team that performs the below presales and technical activities.
Meeting customers to create a new opportunity and propose solutions that satisfy customer needs.
Solution Design.
Define an agreed Scope of Work.
Implement network security solutions (Firewalls, WAF, Email Security, Web Security…etc).
Perform Design review, Configuration review and Vulnerability assessment.
Security Solutions Engineers at OBS acts as Subject Matter Experts for security services that Orange provides (Firewall, SIEM, Proxy...etc).
I work in the Proxy service team, on Symantec and Cisco services.
Manage and maintain the complete life cycle of building security services, in order to add them in the company’s managed services portfolio, specialized in the following majors:
o Cloud Security Solutions
o Onsite Proxies
o SSL Interception Dedicated Solutions
In-lab design and test of overall architecture and components for the in-scope security services.
Test and validate new features and software versions.
Provide support for pre-sales engineers with the appropriate presentations/documentations and technical solutions in order to accurately address customers’ needs.
Provide implementation and operation teams with documentation and training that will lead them during the roll-outs, deployments and troubleshooting.
Provide Level 3 support for security operation teams when needed.
Our team is responsible for managing all network and security devices in addition to design/ planning and implementing new projects.
Propose design/ configuration/ upgrade changes to enhance network services.
Plan/ Implement new projects that include (out of support devices replacements, new network devices for new services and network security devices to enhance our security services). Our team is responsible for preparing business cases for these projects, meet partners/ vendors/ ISPs to discuss our needs, choose the most proper devices and connections for our environment
Administrate all Infrastructure devices (Routers, Switches, Security Devices and Voice services)
Act as 3rd line support for users and handle escalated cases from 2nd line according to their SLA.
Achieve maximum connection availability for HQ Services, Branches, Branches ATMs and
standalone ATMs. Thus, immediately respond to connection loss incidents.
Handle Security Incident requests from IT Security and SOC teams. In addition to reviewing
vulnerability assessments and configuration audit reports to take the necessary action.
Implementing security solutions for Medium and Enterprise companies and also acting as a second line support for customers.
The following is part of our duties and tasks:
-Meet customers, discuss the current solution and the required features in the new solution as per the SOW.
-Creating a Technical Action Plan for project tasks.
-Creating Low Level Design.
-Configure & Implement Palo Alto Firewall
-Configure & Implement McAfee NGFW
-Configure & Implement Cisco ASA
-Configure & Implement McAfee Web Gateway
-Configure & Implement Websense (Web Security).
-During the Implementation phase, we consider communication with customers, smoothly applying changes on their environment, minimum downtime without affecting the business and supporting the customer during/ after the project with any related incidents, keys to achieve customer satisfaction.
-Project Handover and knowledge transfer with customer.
-Provide documentation for project tasks.
Design integrated solutions to meet business needs, protect business and IT investment by incorporating enterprise security measures into the designs.
• 9-Month Diploma, Information Technology Institute (ITI) October, 2012 - June 2013 • Cyber Security Department. • Courses details: o CCNA, CCNA Security and Cisco Firewall. o Linux Administration, Linux security, MCITP. o Introduction to Ethical Hacking and Metasploit Framework Essentials. • Graduation project (Cyber Intrusion Analysis): Design a secure network with all the required devices and services, simulate real life cases and try to implement a suitable security policy with real time log analysis and correlation.
