Supervise all personnel in areas of responsibility falling under the management of the Financial Controller ensuring that standards of performance are maintained at all times.
Ensure that daily banking and cash float control procedures are being maintained according to the company standard.
Ensure that periodic cash float counts are carried out and that each float is subject to minimum one count per month.
Perform bank reconciliation ensuring that up to date status is achieved prior to closing of each accounting period. Advice the financial controller of any unusual of doubtful transactions observed during the course performing such reconciliation's.
Monitor and ensure that all subsidiary books and records and or subsidiary accounting software modules are kept up to date according to the monthly reporting calendar and in particular.
Ensure that:
• Revenue journals and or interfaces are accurate and in balance.
• Accounts receivable & Payable ledgers or modules are fully up to date and are correctly journalized or interfaced.
• Stocks ledgers or modules are correctly updated and accurately journalized or interfaced.
• All standard, prepayment, accrual and other journals are correctly prepared and processed to the nominal ledger.
• All intercom any and inter hotel transactions are recorded.
• Payroll has been accurately prepared and journalized or interfaced.

Prepare monthly accounts and in consultation with the financial controller ensure that all required transactions have been taken into account.
Prepare annual budgets, weekly and monthly forecasts, monthly balance sheet reports and statutory accounts.
