Since 2014 I held the position of Technical Advisor of the Minister for Maghreb and African Affairs with the grade of Ambassador for the Ministry Delegate to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation in charge of Maghreb, African and Mauritanians Abroad Affairs.
In this role, I was responsible for:

• Supervision and coordination of all relevant works at the request of the Minister.
• Upon request of the Minister, I deal with any Maghreb or African related political or diplomatic matters.
• Provide relevant studies and opinion when required to the Ministry.

My major responsibility is to coordinate and follow up the different aspects of both bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Mauritania and the other countries of Arab Maghreb region. Thus, my Department is in charge of organizing and coordinating all kinds of preparation, meetings, opinions regarding the legal framework of the cooperation between the different sectors of government and their counterparts in the other states of Arab Maghreb Union. In addition to this, we help decision maker to act properly through a process of credible information and accurate advice.

Also, we provide studies on the state of cooperation between our country and each country of the Arab Maghreb states on a yearly basis and / or upon request of the decision maker.

I am also responsible for the preparation of the technical dossier of the grand common commissions of cooperation with the other Maghreb countries.
