The Regional Director is responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of Magrabi Hospitals & Centres in the region, including management of the profit and loss statement, as well as the related resources associated with the hospital & centres’ operation. In this capacity, the Regional Director carries responsibility for integrating the strategic plan of the organization with the operations. The Regional Director provides management oversight for the development of high quality, cost effective and integrated clinical programs within the region. The regional Director will exercise management responsibility over the region ensuring efficient services that are designed to meet the needs of patients, physicians, the public and staff. This will either be done directly, or through delegation of responsibility to the management staff.
• Directs the development of regional strategic and business plans consistent with the established mission, vision, core values and strategic plan of the organization, and ensures their proper execution
• Work with hospital / centers manager to develop and secure area budgets to assure successful operations in the area. This includes, but is not limited to, identifying operational costs, consulting on methods of budget negotiation, meeting with area managers to discuss questions and concerns that may pertain to local budget requests, provides firm budget management to maintain costs and reduce loss from operations.
• Enhance revenue, profitability and gross margin growth. Responsible to drive area revenue and profit plans to budget through successful leadership,
organizational plans, customer service, and outstanding execution of all medical services provided to the patients in the area.
• Evaluates need and recommend opportunities for business development and expansion in the region. Develop new business strategies to enhance market share and improve overall performance
• Ensure compliance with local and international quality standards and guidelines; ensure that internal controls and policies and procedures across departments are consistently tested and developed and align these controls to optimize the overall control environment of the hospital & canters.
• Develop and foster effective collaboration between clinical departments, divisions, medical staff leadership, faculty and other affiliated services (inside and outside of the hospital & centres) to ensure an integrated approach to providing services, and fulfilling the hospital's clinical, research and educational goals and objectives.
• Establishes and maintains positive relationships with local and state government, community leaders, local social service personnel, professional associations and other service providers as necessary in the overall management of the region
• Where appropriate, represent Magrabi Hospitals & Canters to the external market, as well as internally through the application of community relations and marketing activities.
• Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, vision, values, philosophy and culture of the organization.
The hospital administrator is responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of Magrabi Hospital, including management of the profit and loss statement for the hospital's business, as well as the related resources associated with the hospital operation. In this capacity, The Administrative Director will exercise management responsibility over the hospital ensuring efficient services that are designed to meet the needs of patients, physicians, the public and staff. This will either be done directly, or through delegation of responsibility to the management staff.
• Ensure that cross-departmental operations are optimized and aligned with all other operations within Magrabi Hospital.
• Act as the primary operating officer for multiple functional units within the region, managing all day to day operations, budget, and personnel matters.
• Ensure staff members are adequately trained across the region and coordinate this training with overall Magrabi group training objectives.
• Oversee major workforce and resource decisions for the hospital & centres
• Work through the management team and medical leadership of the hospital, serving as a resource to help reduce costs, enhance revenues, achieve effective utilization and quality goals and objectives, analyse and utilize information to develop and support management decisions
• Work to create a positive work culture within cross-departmental teams and align this work with other Magrabi initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with JCI standards and guidelines; ensure that internal controls and policies and procedures across departments are consistently tested and developed and align these controls to optimize the overall control environment of the hospital & canters
- Establishes and implement short and long range organizational goals, . Monitor and evaluate effectiveness, and profitability for current established centers, hospitals and future projects.
- Identify opportunities to grow the business, conduct feasibility study for new projects including financial, marketing aspects and prepare comprehensive report to the MD detailing the pros, cons and the effects on the business
- Act as a focal point to consolidate all the data and progress status of new projects
- Ensures that appropriate fiscal, human resources and administrative systems are in place to ensure timely and resources efficient responses to the demands of the new projects.
- Build up reference manual of new project requirements, flow chart of steps needed for new projects, develop and maintain professional and user friendly record references for new projects details
- Standardize all clinical equipments, administrative systems and tools needed for all branches and centers
- Participate and develop sales tools such as brochures, newsletters, promotional media, group website and innovation to assist in business development
- Participate in the marketing planning process to be in line with the business development plan
- Planning, organizing, directing and supervising the outpatients and inpatients services to attain the departments and hospital goals.
- Responsible for the operational performance of outpatient and inpatient staff. Work closely with them to develop and monitor appropriate work practice methods to ensure proper competent and full completion
- Responsible for development and maintenance of polices and procedures for outpatient and inpatient department.
- Maintain appropriate liaison with other hospital department to ensure appropriate coordination of efforts required to meet hospital and departmental goals
- Participate in development, review and control of OPD/inpatients budget.
- Participate and assist in the process of Joint Commission of International Accreditation (JCIA) and other necessary training and orientation to hospital staff on the accreditation process.
- Analyze and evaluate clinical aspects of care in order to improve quality of patient care and plan better utilization of medical and paramedical staff.
- Participate in development of patient education materials and program in coordination with Marketing Department.
- Maintain record and develop statistical reports for all activities and performance in outpatient and inpatient department.
The position encompasses four major categories of responsibility as follows:
1.Logistics Center
-To Establish DHL logistics center at the new DHL airport facility.
-Define, organize and deliver DHL logistics and distribution services to existing and potential client.
-To recruit, train logistics staff.
-To sell concept of logistics to DHL sales staff and/or directly to clients
-To support and report on logistics global client usage of facility
-Implement and adjust overall sales and marketing plan for the logistics service of DHL
-In-coordination with other departments, organize and implement client support services.
-Work closely with sales staff to expand DHL logistics client base.
2. Quality
-To plan, prepare and ensure annual accreditation.
-To maintain a team of internal auditors and conduct departmental audit in line with accreditation requirements.
-To provide & update training material for use in the induction courses of new staff to explain ISO accreditation and its use in DHL Egypt.
-To develop relationship with ISO inspection company and inspectors to facilitate strong & positive working relationship.
3.Procurement
-To plan and implement DHL procurement policy including:
a. Purchase requisitions, Quotation criterion,
b. Authority / Approval level
c. Vendor rating
d. Tenders
-To negotiate all contracts and pursue a low cost high quality service price position.
-To maintain accurate inventory levels for all operation supplies and record usage by departments.
-To work with finance to create departmental cost center for cost allocation of all purchase orders.
-To provide summary monthly management report of purchase orders and supplies usage by department.
4.Fleet
-To negotiate fleet related contracts, maintenance, insurance etc.
-To maintain an accurate data base on DHL Egypt vehicles.
-To provide monthly management reports on key issues, replacements, new addition, vehicles sold and accidents, etc
- identify, Implement and adjust overall sales and marketing plan for financial and banking sector in Egypt.
-Define, organize and deliver DHL services to existing and potential clients of banking and financial institutions sector in Egypt.
- To Launch Intra-City domestic Service: implement the service for the banking sector in Egypt. Distributing documents and packages between head offices of each bank and its branches within Cairo, Alex. It is a same day service in a time definite delivery and pick up manner.
-In -coordination with other departments, organize and implement client support services
-Participate in annual strategic planning and program development activities for the sale and marketing department for Egypt
