Senior Mechanical Control Engineering at National Authority for Remote sensing and Space Science (NARSS).
  • Egypt - Cairo
  • My current job since February 2002

From 2/2002 till 11/2007 and 09/2009 till Now: I had been worked for National Authority for Remote sensing & Space Science (NARSS) as a Senior Mechanical Control Engineer for EgyptSat-1 project which represents the 1st Egyptian remote sensing satellite and it was launched with the cooperation of Ukrainian Space Agency. I had worked for Attitude Determination & Control Group and I was responsible for designing, manufacturing and testing of the magnetic actuator which is used for controlling and orientation of EgyptSat-1. I had completed my work at Yuzhnoye (Design Office at National Space Agency of Ukraine) with the following activities:-

• Participated in the stage of the magnetorquer design as a magnetic actuator for Egyptsat-1 with the following duties:
1 Deign Calculations of magnetic actuator parameters using mathematical S/W: MATLAB & MathCAD.
2 Issuing album of drawings of magnetorquer parts using AutoCAD & Mechanical Desktop.

• Supervised and Participated in Manufacturing and Assembly of the magnetorquer components including the following operations:
1. Manufacturing of the magnetorquer components with issuing the required workshop documentations.
2. Assembly of different mock-up and models of magnetorquer (full scale mock-up, strength mockup, engineering model and flight model).

• Participated in conducting Acceptance & Developmental tests on the magnetorquer and issuing program of testing documentations.

• Participated in defining and selection of the suitable check out equipment for the magnetorquer and issuing the design documentation with the drawings for the selected components.

For the Current project EgyptSat-2 I have worked as senior launch system Engineer and I have been responsible for selecting and defining the launching system for EgyptSat-2 including the following duties:
• Contact with different launch system providers.
• Specify the most suitable launcher service provider based on many criteria’s like; injection accuracy, mechanical and electrical interface, reliability, launching costs….etc.
• Creating data base system for all different launchers.
• Follow up the launching schedule of different launchers.

Technical office Engineer at Task Aviation International
  • Egypt - Cairo
  • December 2010 to August 2011

Since 12/2010 till 8/2011: I have been worked for Task Aviation International as a Technical Office Manager to tournament between the general manager and the managerial head of all departments and I was responsible for the following duties:
• Contact between the General Manager and all department heads and updating the General Manager with departments and projects process.
• Attend any briefing meetings to any departments that should have any follow-ups and collecting reports from departments to General Manager.
• Assure creating data base system for the company to be settled and updated (suppliers list. Clients list, company profile, …) with using company S/W for document management and work flow (Laserfiche).
• Technical duties for special projects as per assigned by manager.
• Follow-up representative agreements existing and renewal and handling brochures and flyers update.

Project Engineer and Structural Engineer at Saipem Misr for Oil and Gas service provider - ENI Group.
  • Egypt - Cairo
  • November 2007 to September 2009

Since 11/2007 till 09/2009: I have been worked for Saipem Misr for Oil and Gas service provider as a Project Engineer for Burullus West Delta Deep Marine company in two separate projects phases IV and VI.

For the current phase VI Project I have been worked as Structure Design Engineer. I’m responsible for modelling different subsea structures (Spools and Jumpers) with simulating different types of load combinations (Air, wave, current …etc) which effect on these models during lifting in air & water. The structures are modelled using specific marine structure S/W called SACS. By the end, the structure analyses are carried out in order to check the structure integrity of these structures under the effect of the mentioned loads. I have completed my work at Design office in Snamprogetti, Eni Group, Italy.

For phase VI project, I had been worked as Project Engineer. I was responsible for supervising of different fabrication activities, installation of offshore/ onshore structures and site integration tests at the Yard (Alexandria) as follows: -
• Supervise the construction activities for the structures that will be installed offshore (Suction Piles, Manifolds, PLET, UTA & TSB).
• Control material take off (MTO) and review the structure drawings and piping isometrics.
• Witness the cleaning, hydrostatic test and de-watering for the piping included in the structures.

Education

Master's degree, Master's degree of science in Aeronautical Engineering
  • at Cairo University
  • January 2008

Master of Science : Master's degree of science in Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Dept. of Cairo University, (2005 – 2008). Subject of thesis : “ Design, Manufacturing and Testing of Magnetic Actuator for Micro-Satellites ” Supervised by : Prof. Dr. Sayed Desouki, Prof Dr. Gamal El-Bayoumi & Dr. Mohamed Bayoumi. * Magnetic Actuators are mainly used for attitude orientation and stabilization of low earth orbit satellites. The main specific goals involved in the thesis are: • Design Calculations: of the magnetic actuator parameters. • Hardware Implementation: manufacturing & assembly of the magnetic actuator components using the available materials in Egypt • Testing and Magnetic Measurements to verify the selected design using different methods of magnetic measurements

Bachelor's degree, BSc. in Mechanical Aerospace Engineering
  • at Cairo University
  • July 2001

Degree of Bachelor : BSc. in Mechanical Aerospace Engineering, Aerospace Department of Cairo University (July 2001). Graduation Project : Satellite moon sensor Project Grade : Excellent Cumulative Grade : Very Good * Moon sensor is mainly used for Satellite Attitude Determination. My participation, through the graduation project, was in designing, issuing CAD drawings and hardware implementation of the project physical model.
