•Assist and Management Team to implement the HSE Policy of the company.
•Maintain the HSE Management System, consistent with the HSE Policy.
•Review regularly and update (as required) the yearly Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Plan.
•Deliver continuous performance improvement in the area of HSE through regular assessments
•Coach and assist Line Managers to implement their activities according to the HSE standards of the company.
•Coach and sponsor the implementation of the approved HSE Training Matrix. Ensure suitable training resources are available on time to enhance the training of employees in HSE issues.
•Sponsor and custodian of the Company Risk Matrix as well as the Action Tracking Register.
•Ensure that the HSE Management Systems are known by Contractors and that their systems are compliant and aligned to it. Monitor, coach and audit contractor/supplier HSE activities.
•Lead in the implementation of Safety Committees, Investigations Teams and dissemination of safety related information.
•Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE legislation. Implement continuous monitoring of changes in law that may impact Company activities.
•Ensure Emergency response preparedness in all the company premises. Ensure that Emergency plans are maintained, tested and fit-for purpose.
•Conduct ongoing assessments of QHSE resources required to deliver business targets.
•Ensure the continuing implementation of the QHSE Management System and report its effectiveness to the BOD.
•Oversee the development and implementation of the Company’s HSE Management System.
•Ensure that the HSE Management System is maintained in accordance with the requirements of ISO 14001, ISO 9001and OHSAS 18001.
•Ensure that objectives and targets of HSE Management System program have been met.
•Initiate and oversee internal HSE audits at specified intervals. Monitor the continuity and sustainability of the system and evaluate its subsequent follow-up.
Upper Zakum Field Development
ExxonMobil and ADNOC JV, are working together to expand development of one of the world’s largest oil fields
Upper Zakum covers about 1, 200 Km2 of the Gulf Marine areas . Zakum field in general is considered the 2nd largest field in the Gulf and fourth of the ten largest known field in the world
Current work responsibilities include:
•Implementation of HSE Management procedure.
•Provide advice on issues pertaining to operational safety, asset management and critical HSE activities.
•Planning and carrying out audits to verify HSE compliance of operational activities.
•Developing, reviewing and updating HSE requirements/standards related to marine vessels, jack up barges, drilling rigs and diving operations. Activities in this area also include planning and conducting joint periodic HSE audits and inspections on all vessels in addition to marine/diving contractors’ facilities, monitoring and verifying the integrity of lifesaving equipment (life boats/life rafts) and ensuring full compliance with relevant standards.
•Assuring compliance with all relevant occupational health regulations and Codes of Practice.
•Assisting with the implementation of the ZADCO HSEMS.
•Assure compliance with developing environmental regulations.
•Review of new projects/modifications and provision of environmental recommendations and impact assessments.
•Provision of support and advice on corporate environmental matters and coordination/participation on environmental matters with ADNOC and outside agencies.
•Continual development of staff environmental awareness and competencies.
•The development and implementation of risk management tools to ensure that all operations are fully aware of hazard exposure and that all reasonable measures are in place to mitigate the associated risks to a level that is as low as reasonably practicable (ALARP).
•Provide technical supports to operations and engineering by addressing day-to-day technical issues as they arise. These issues relate to both projects and operations.
•Maintaining the incident reporting and incident investigation processes and ensuring compliance of their implementation across the company.
•Reporting HSE performance and Process KPI on monthly reports.
•Coordinating the Emergency Response program including the preparation of ER plans for each site and monitoring exercises against this plan.
•Developing HSE training plans and materials as ZADCO and international standards.
•Performing training needs analysis and conducting training to staff and new developee.
•SVQ A1 and CAM’s assessor.

Ras Laffan Port Expansion Project
•Ras Laffan Industrial City is planned to expand rapidly over the forthcoming years with construction and commissioning of various industrial facilities to enhance the value of hydrocarbon reserves. The project objective is to expand the port to accommodate the projected volume of traffic up to the year 2024. This will involve increase in LNG, LP exports, dry cargo containers, general cargo, sulphur and various forms of construction cargos, etc.
•Establish commitment, philosophy and objectives for HSE issues with company project team and communicate company HSE policy to design contractors and subcontractors.
•Provide safety inputs to project scope of work and ensure that project safety requirement are being met at all times
•Evaluate potential contractors to alignment with company HSE requirements.
•Co-ordinate project safety activities with concerned disciplines.
•Set performance targets for HSE Philosophy, HSE/ HSEMS Plan.
•Ensure that all risks and significant environmental aspects are identified during design, fabrication and construction.
•Ensure that all safety issues are addressed and resolved prior to start-up activities.
•Review plot plans and package designs according to project safety requirements.
•Review design of fire protection systems.
•Manage and approve safety studies such as HAZOP, HAZID, QRA, Flare Radiation & Dispersion, SIL, PHSER, Audits…etc.

Conduct progress meetings with the client and various project team personnel and issue minutes of meeting.
Co-ordinate between Vendors and Engineering disciplines regarding Material Requisition Technical clarification and Technical Bid Tabulation.
Co-ordinate and follow up with the Vendors after issuing the purchase order to ensure that the orders are being executed on time and as per the project specification.
Responsible for reviewing the schedule with planning engineer, ensuring all project activities are covered and executed on time.
Control the Budget and all design changes/ variation orders.
Perform field-engineering duties including on-site technical assistance for construction activities, installation/ hook-up and start-up. Provide site team work supervision & scheduling; monitor compliance with engineering specification and co-ordination the interface with the construction contractor, clients and the cross-functional teams.
