• Supervises and controls all activities of gas, water, analytical, sulphur terminal and UP laboratory.

• Monitors and reviews the day-to-day laboratory activities of sampling and analysis of gases, refinery utilities and GUP water, granulated sulphur, and liquid petroleum products employing gas chromatography, spectrophotometric and wet chemistry techniques and other routine tests carried out for plant control, corrosion control, quality control, quality assurance, quality plant, quality system and quality management.
• Reviews and approves daily and monthly test reports, reviews quality certificate of granulated sulphur that are exported.
• Direct special gas chromatography and spectrophotometer (ICP, IR, Visible, UV & AA) analysis which involves advanced techniques, and the use of stat-of-the-art computerized analytical instruments.
• Install and commission new equipment, train the laboratory personnel on the operation of new analytical equipment and organizes training programs for the laboratory personnel.
• Direct and supervises crude oil, sulphur, gas and chemicals evaluation studies, and coordinates with production planning for marketing requirement of granulated sulphur, Prepare technical reports on studies carried out in the laboratory.

• Assisted on turnover, commissioning, start-up, direct and supervises product water treatment plant to control the alkalinity, hardness and pH of the drinking water including CO2 generation plant, time injection plant, corrosion inhibitor plant and hypochlorination plant all with the aid closed loop control being controlled by advanced on-line analyzers.
• Assisted on turnover, commissioning, start-up, direct and supervises product water treatment plant to control the alkalinity, harness and pH of the drinking water by injection CaCI2 & Na HCO3 controlled via on-line advanced programmable analyzers.
• Determine solution to operational problems through routine and non-routine analysis.
