• Develops adequate policies, procedures and processes for the cost control function to maintain efficient operational excellence.
• Reviews project specifications, BOQs and other contract documents in order to prepare an accurate & comprehensive workable budget and cost control plan.
• Ensures communicating with Operation, Procurement and Engineering functions during the preparation of the detailed budget.
• Monitors, regularly, the detailed construction progress of the project to ensure full adherence to work plans within agreed budget and resources.
• Assesses and analyses all amendments to the project as a result of change orders and takes necessary actions to amend budget.
• Providing expert advice on cost and budgeting issues related to current projects to project managers, conducting analysis of actual performance against plan.
• Notifying project managers of any under/over run in project costs, recommending courses of action and coordinating progress with the Planning Department.

• Participate in approving the work breakdown structure (WBS) in conjunction with the planning engineers relevant to each project.
