Highlights
• Handle all the reservoir work such as calculations of OOIP (volumetric or Material Balance), decline curve analysis, and reserve growth and reservoirs management.
• Successfully built a full field model by using Petrel Software for East Zeit reservoirs (Nubia, Nukhul & Kareem) for Main & East Fault Block (6 Reservoirs), including -
√ Pre-simulation work e.g. PVT validation, routine core analysis (porosity -permeability relation & flow unit technique).
√ Special core analysis including capillary pressure and relative permeability analysis using pre-processor software (SCAL, PVTi, SWPM & OFM) for data preparation.
√ Estimation of water saturation based on PC curve method.
√ Dynamic model initialization using SWATINIT & history matching of pressure and production data for the 25 wells using Eclipse Software.
√ Performing different scenarios of field development plan (FDP) including different prediction scenarios in primary recovery mechanism by introducing new development well (horizontal section) in Kareem East Fault Block.
√ Application of pressure maintenance scenarios using secondary recovery methods (water injection & gas injection) technique with sensitivity on injection rates and voidage replacement ratios for Nukhul East Fault Block.
√ Reservoir management to solve water conning problem in Nubia wells in Main & East Fault Block.
• Involved in Surveillance Engineering, including -
√ Estimation OOIP by the volumetric methods and material balance equations.
√ Analyzing reservoir pressure decline performance and determining the drive mechanism using various types of plots (P/z Vs Gp, Depletion and Energy Plots and Havlena - Odeh Analysis) and determined OOIP in water drive reservoirs.
√ OFM decline-curve analysis for reserve estimation and production forecasting.
√ Studies to define the optimum development plans & shut-in wells study.
√ Defining surveillance programs, interpreting results come up with recommendations.
√ Analyzing the pressure transient tests (draw down, PBU) using Saphir program.
√ Interpreting and analyzing openhole logs and RFT.
• Performed Well Operation Engineering, including -
√ Well optimization including recompletions, perforations, WSO and workovers to maximize oil recovery.
√ Observation and evaluation of the well performance and offering proper remedial work.
