I am starting my Ed.D at the University of Bath in 2013 and planning to focus on Education Management and Policy and the Improvement (s) in Science Teaching Methods.
I have successfully completed a certificate of Project Management Professional - PMP in September 2013. Many people thought that education has nothing to do with project management, and it is only for engineers and business professionals. The way I see it is that every step of any business - including education - is a project that needs planning and management.
I have completed my M.Ed. degree at the British University in Dubai, International Management and Policy dept. I have studied all about education management, innovation, curriculum design and analysis, etc. Dissertation title was "Applying School-Based Management in UAE Public Schools". I do have a long experience in teaching chemistry, general sciences, biology in international schools in Abu Dhabi. I am as well a Certified Teachers' Trainer from Zayed University, Abu Dhabi.
Teaching Knowledge Test - TKT, is one of the most beneficial courses I have ever been involved in. Although it is designed for English Instructors, I have greatly benefited through attending the three modules course.
How to train teachers to perform better in classrooms? that was the main aim of the one year diploma at Zayed University. I have studied about training of new and existing staff to enhance their performance in class using technologies, teaching methodologies, and the shared experience. I got the chance to apply that in one of the public schools in Abu Dhabi, results were beyond expectations.
Throughout the four years of study at the Helwan University, I have studied Chemistry of all specializations, physics, biology, statistics, advanced math and calculus.
