NATURE OF WORK: • Operate drilling activities in accordance with safe well control practices and in accordance with local regulatory requirements, when supervised by the Driller.
• Assists the Driller to supervise the drilling crew during rig move activities.
• Operate in such a manner which results in achieving the operating plan and objectives including but not limited to safety, uptime, WDI' operating expectation, Client drilling curve, rig budget, manpower turnover and rig appearance/housekeeping.
• Ensure well programs and schedules are well known to the Drilling crew
• Assist to inspect drilling unit and ensure compliance with all regulatory body requirements
• Ensure that all rig equipment within area of responsibility is maintained in accordance with WDI's Preventive Maintenance System to minimize NPT Supervise and assist in mud making activities
• Assist the Driller taking responsibility for the rig crew to ensure a motivated disciplined and productive workforce, especially to be a good listener and reserve time to give feedback.
• Appraise each direct report annually on a constant rolling feedback basis. Drive appraisal process throughout the unit to formalize performance management.
• To encourage personal development for succession planning through the organization.
• Provide supervision to all personnel to ensure a safe and professional level of performance and ensure that the team stays current with changes in industry technology.
• Assist the Driller to ensure that training programs are maintained for all employees in line with training matrix.
• Support evaluation of personnel and recommend promotions, salary changes, transfers, termination, etc., when required.
