• Communicate with purchasing department to insure the necessary materials to meet the production plan.
• Review documents, such as production schedules, Production Job orders, or staffing tables, to determine personnel or materials requirements or material priorities.
• Record production data, including volume produced, consumption of raw materials, or planning control measures.
• Record inventory data, including inventory shortages, excess inventory and end-of-life materials or write off.
• Compile information, such as production rates and progress, materials inventories, or materials use.
• Integrate business related activities for various functions (Production Planning, Material Requirements Planning “MRP” and Materials Handling) in order to achieve the predetermined target.
• Serves as liaison between business partners (Purchasing, Production and Sales) to achieve the predetermined planning required.
• Establishing, developing and setting policies and procedures for planning rules, planning data accuracy, inventory levels, materials availability measurements and reporting.
