Create environment department goals and objectives in alignment with overall plant objectives. Develop comprehensive environmental strategy, compliance, and excellence plan, leading to establishment of sustainable practices, regulatory adherence, and recognition for environmental stewardship within organization. Design environmental performance monitoring program to comply with both local environmental regulations and international standards. Devise a construction environment management plan for new projects, such as a combined cycle power plant and Calcium chloride production plant. Perform ESIA study for subsea and onshore pipeline construction projects. Foster effective partnerships with stakeholders to proactively mitigate risks. Oversee Greenhouse Gas (GHG) accounting processes.

• Streamlined LCA for PVC production processes to assess environmental impacts and determine process enhancements from cradle to gate.
• Contribute to prepare Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) study for petrochemical facilities.
• Published green chemistry case study for TCI Sanmar, featured in Yale University-UNIDO technology compendium and Global Green Chemistry Initiative.
• Created and published TCI Sanmar sustainability reports per GRI standards (https://database.globalreporting.org/reports/80802/).
• Defined and implemented energy management strategies, identified opportunities for energy conservation, and championed initiatives for recycling and reusing resources.
• Developed waste management system for hazardous and non-hazardous waste, which diverted to recycle and reuse.
• Executed capacity-building programs for emerging technicians in collaboration with the university and NGOs.
• Contributed to creation and implementation of facility's environmental goals, plans, and budgets on annual basis.


• Designed and implemented water, waste, and chemicals management systems, as well as conducted environmental audits, ensuring a seamless integration of sustainable practices and regulatory compliance.
• Acted as a focal point for all Government Affairs related correspondences, applications and requests with governmental bodies (ministry of environment, ministry of industry, governorates and relevant authorities).
• Managed the permitting process with all relevant authorities for the new expansion projects in petrochemical plant as well as followed up the implementation of the permit’s conditions in all stages.
• Managed the stakeholder engagement plans according to the statutory requirement of the national EIA legal framework and within good international practice IFIs requirements.
• Ensured timely and transparent information disclosure to make project information accessible to interested and affected parties, managed stakeholders’ expectations and possible misconceptions.
• Generated good understanding of the projects amongst stakeholders, particularly regarding environmental and social risks and impacts associated with the project, along with proposed measures and actions to address them.
• Established and maintained a Community Grievance Mechanism, documented the Stakeholder Engagement Plan (SEP) implementation and management via SEP Data Management System (DMS).
• Formulated multiple Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives fostering support for young talents and ensuring women empowerment, aligned with Egypt's Sustainability Vision 2030.
• Implemented a women empowerment initiative, "She is Up to It and More, " in collaboration with the National Council of Women, financially empowering 100 women in Port Said through skill-building for entrepreneurship.
• Supported green marketing strategy and supply chain management by implementing an environment disclosure system and obtaining Type III eco-label certification.
