Managing an annual purchase budget of EGP1.2 Billion including both CAPEX & OPEX through 4 sections “Raw materials & packing, Indirect procurement, machinery & spare parts & Logistics. • Put improvement plan for all activities based on actual stand, managing implementation & ensure plans are within the time frame. • Conducting RFQ/RFP for key categories, negotiating prices & terms with new/existing, domestic/foreign suppliers, subcontractors & service providers to accomplish lowest total cost of ownership. • Developing an up-to-date validated supplier database supported with a list of backup suppliers to secure continuous supply. • Implementing strategic procurement i.e., sourcing strategy, vendor/supplier selection and evaluation, supplier quality management. • Developing logistics management methods to better control shippments & reduce shipping cost. • Ensure shippments arrival in the right condition & manage claims to suppliers/forwarders/brokers otherwise. • Cooperate with cross functional departments to apply sound principles that serve business needs and secure smooth business flow. • Supporting merchandising team lower the COGS by sourcing new suppliers & eliminating third party involvement. • Building & lead teams, implement recruitment, teaching & development strategy & targets for the department. Recruit, coach, develop & appraise supply management team to ensure the teams are well trained & motivated.
Achievements:
o Successfully plan & implement localization process for several components which contributed in reducing its annual landed cost by €120K - 30%.
o Successfully sourced new service providers & vendors for various categories with 20% average saving.
o Successfully validate new vendors & suppliers for major categories which enhanced negotiations power & reduce suppliers/vendors risk.
Responsibilities:
• Execute domestic & global sourcing activities for direct & in-direct materials involved in wide range of finished products within 3 major business units.
• Support merchandising team lower the COGS by sourcing new suppliers & eliminating third party involvement.
• Conduct RFQ/RFP for key categories, negotiating prices & terms with new/existing, domestic/foreign suppliers, subcontractors & service providers to accomplish lowest total cost of ownership.
• Examine existing contracts/SLA’s, evaluate & negotiate suppliers for better terms & conditions.
• Developing best practices related to sourcing plans, procurement & purchasing to maintain supply chain lowest cost & on-time delivery.
• Performing supplier risk management parameters on existing/developed suppliers.
• Developing supplier management methods within current supplier’s database & Maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Developing a robust network of an alternate domestic & foreign suppliers base for most commodities in order to minimize the overall supply chain costs.
• Managing supply budget by tracking monthly spending & budget utilization to contribute to company profitability.
• Managing suppliers’ claims & monitor penalties to them.
• Reviewing all current payment terms & develop them according to the Co. best benefit i.e. Credit line & dynamic discounting.

avoid clearance delay & demurrage fees.

• Arrange insurance through Finance department for all shippments.
• Work closely with suppliers/vendors in terms of updating any new customs regulation & make sure all shipped
goods are fully complied with the Egyptian Customs requirements.
• Cooperate with cross functional departments to apply sound principles that serve business needs and secure smooth business flow.
• Lead delivery of supply management KPIs and measure overall supply management performance by setting and agreeing targets with each section, revising action plan as needed & monitoring performance on a regular basis to ensure targets delivery.
• Built & led teams, implement recruitment, teaching & development strategy & targets for the department. Recruit, coach, develop & appraise supply management team to ensure the teams are well trained & motivated.
