• Attending to Inspection Requests (IR's) submitted by the contractor and take appropriate action in a timely manner.
• Reviewing submitted shop drawings against contract drawings and specifications, local codes and statutory requirements and international best practice.
• Ensure that all construction works are performed in strict accordance with the plans and specifications.
• Report to the ARE or RE any failure of the Contractor to perform the work as per the drawings and specifications and to provide good workmanship.
• Coordinate with the other disciplines inspectors and arrange for sampling and testing of satisfactorily completed work, and quality assurance testing of suspect materials.
• Monitoring quality of works and assess the safety at site including health and environmental issues, ensuring compliance with contractual specifications and safety and health risk assessments.
• Performs civil and structural tests, such as soil compaction, moisture content, aggregation, graduation, concrete slump, air entrainment, concrete compression, lines and grades surveys, bolt torques and concrete coring.
• Providing technical input and experiences to resolve any discipline related issues on site that may arise.
• Preparing surveillance report(s) for deficiencies of work found at site and non-conformance reports (NCR) if required in view of the development of events.
• Coordinate the works to ensure successful hand-over of the project.

Creates feasibility study by analyzing engineering
design, conducting environmental impact studies, and
assembling data.
Produces engineering documents by developing
construction specifications, plans, and schedules.
Maintains project database by writing computer
programs, entering data, and completing backups.

Acting as the main technical adviser on a construction
site for subcontractors, crafts people, and operatives.
Setting out, leveling, and surveying the site.
Checking plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy
of calculations.
Ensuring that all materials used, and work performed
are as per specifications.
Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials
and plant.

Agreeing a price for materials and making cost-
effective solutions and proposals for the intended

project.
Day-to-day management of the site, including
supervising and monitoring the site labor force and the
work of any subcontractors.
Planning the work and efficiently organizing the plant
and site facilities to meet agreed deadlines.
Overseeing quality control and health and safety
matters on site.
Preparing reports as required.
Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and
other problems that may arise.
