Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
* Accountable for the organization, execution, planning and administration of the network and
security operations function within EGBANK.
* Own the continuous improvement and development of operational network and security
processes, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring they are fit for purpose, current and are correctly
implemented.
* Producing part or all of the technical solution for the business, in accordance with an agreed
technical design.
* Ensuring that network project deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
* Delivering end to end network solutions as required.
* Maintaining Data Centers operations.
* Plan and implement changes and enhancements to the network and Security components which
improve performance with minimum disruption to service.
* Propose improvements and longer term fixes so that network availability and performance
improves.
* Be at the forefront of all Network projects, having the ability to translate business demands to
project deliverables.
* Maintaining, installing and decommissioning network hardware and ensuring new networks
being built are in accordance with standards and operational requirements.
* Complete required documentation in line with departmental and ISO standards to enable systems
to be supported, maintained and used effectively.
* Contribute high-level expertise to IT projects to ensure that new networks can be operated and
maintained before they go live.
* Contribute to Network technology roadmaps and solutions.
Operations Responsibilities:
* Drive continuous service Improvement/Optimization
* Ensure and maximize customer satisfaction.
* Provide onsite supervision to make critical decisions.
* Review logs, tickets, cases and communications to ensure that the staff is following proper process and procedure.
* Plan for new Customer Deployment.
* Ensure service delivery and support compliance with ITIL.
* Investigate and understand significant problems, trends and root causes of systemic issues, and drive plans to resolve the highest priority issues.
* Implement a continuous staff development to improve the expertise and productivity.
Technical Responsibilities:
* Perform responsibilities of ensuring that the systems are documented and kept properly.
* Handle the tasks of supervising and leading a Team of Network Engineers and other Operation Teams.
* Administrate the Network Infrastructure for our Data Center (Production and DR sites).
* Coordinate with Network Infrastructure Engineers, architecture, and delivery Teams to ensure that the Network Infrastructure remains current and performs up to the expected standard.
* Perform responsibilities of Planning, Designing, Implementing, Operation and Optimizing the Network Infrastructure for our Clients they hosting Production or DR Infrastructure Appliances at ECC Data Center and provide them with suitable transmission Lines (E1s, E3s, and STM1s, Giga Ethernet) to connect their Branches and Head Office with Production or DR site.
* Troubleshooting / finding root cause in Network Infrastructure issues.
* In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, packet capture and analysis.
* Interface with Clients to ensure that their Networks Infrastructure are Configured and maintained to support the levels of availability required.
* Ability to be in 7x24 on-call rotations one week in five or more frequently.
