Project Name: EPC for Bab Integrated Facilities Project (BIFP) - ADNOC Onshore
Overall Project Description: Part of Bab Field Expansion Projects intends to increase crude oil production from the current production rate of 1.4 Million Barrels Oil per Day (MMBOPD) to 1.8 MMBOPD.
Job Responsibilities:
Performing all Deputy Manager Mechanical department functions as required. Reporting to Project Manager.
• Manage and coordinate construction projects from conception to completion.
• Supervise and manage various Mechanical, Piping & Pipelines Engineers during various phases starting from Detail Engineering to Commissioning Phase.
• Interface with other departments for coordination of projects requirements.
• Prepare Execution Plan for Mechanical and Piping works.
• Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
• Head project and construction meetings with various disciplines.
• Participate in verifying the actual work executed by subcontractor for payments processing.
• Prepare interface management plans, Identify potential risk areas and prepare mitigation measures.
• Ensure that the actual project schedule and construction schedule target dates are in line with planned dates, highlight areas of concerns, and propose mitigation measures.
• Evaluates projects performance in all functional areas.
• Review contractual documentation for definition of battery limits between different parties.
• Provide technical and managerial support for various disciplines with regard to projects requirements.
Performing all Projects & Construction department functions as required. Reporting to Facilities’ Department Manager.
• Supervise and manage various contractors e.g. Project Management Consultant (PMC), General Engineering Services (GES), EPCC & PCC contracted for Early Production Facilities Projects during various phases starting from Conceptual to Operation phase.
• Preparing Work Program and Budget of Facilities Department. Monitor and Manage the Execution of the planned Work Programs and Budget. Evaluates projects performance in all functional areas.
• Review projects documentation for definition of Battery Limits, Tie-in Points and Equipment/Facilities Shutdown Requirements.
•Prepare interface management plans and Interface Matrixes, Identify Tie-in Points and Shutdown Requirements, review and approve Tie-in List and Tie-in Method of Statements including Hot Tapping and Coordination of Shutdown Procedures including Safety Measures.
•Interface with other related departments in the company for coordination of projects requirements.
•Prepare overall Execution Plans for new identified projects and in the preparation of technical Scope of Work as part of the ITBs Contracts for various Packages and Company’s Supplied Items (Long Lead Items).
• Coordinate the collection and dissemination of technical information between/within company departments and Engineering Contractors and LLIs Vendors/Suppliers.
• Head projects and construction meetings with various contractors.

• Active participation in Factory & Site Acceptance Tests (FATs & SATs), Risk Assessment Sessions i.e. HAZOP, HAZID and other related design and construct-ability studies.
Performing all Project Engineer functions as required in the project during Pre-FEED and FEED phases. Report to Project Manager.
• Supervise, manage various disciplines engineers and coordinate engineering documents review and approval process during the Pre-FEED and FEED Phases.
• Participate in the preparation of technical Scope of Work as part of the ITBs Contracts for various EPCC Packages and Company’s Supplied Items (Long Lead Items).
• Coordinate the collection and dissemination of technical information between/within Client and Engineering Contractors and LLIs Vendors/Suppliers.
• Head project meetings with engineering contractors. Prepare and issue expediting reports to the project team. Evaluates project performance of functional areas.
• Review projects documentation for definition of Battery Limits, Tie-in Points and Equipment/Facilities Shutdown Requirements.
• Prepare interface management plans and Interface Matrixes, Identify Tie-in Points and Shutdown Requirements and review and approve Tie-in Method of Statements including Hot Tapping and Shutdown Procedures including Safety Measures.
• Review, analyze, and create schedules for various Tie-ins and Shutdown Activities depending on provided construction /commissioning schedules.
• Review technical deliverables (Documents, Drawings, Procedures, Philosophies, etc...) submitted by engineering contractors and prepare combined comments sheets and send it to engineering contractors.
• Ensure that the actual project schedule and construction schedule target dates are in line with planned dates and highlight areas of concerns and propose mitigation measures.
• Provide technical support for various disciplines with regard to project technical requirements.
• Active participation in Factory & Site Acceptance Tests (FATs & SATs), Risk Assessment Sessions i.e. HAZOP, HAZID and other related design and construct-ability studies.
Performing all Interface & Tie-in Engineer and Shutdown Activities functions as required in the project during Basic and Detailed Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Mechanical Completion (MC), Pre-commissioning, Commissioning and Provisional Acceptance (PA) Phases. Report to Project and Site Construction Managers.
• Supervise, manage various disciplines engineers and coordinate engineering documents review and approval process during all projects Phases.
• Review existing design, identify gaps, provide technical resolutions, and work final solution with various Stakeholders for acceptance.
• Prepare interface management plans and Interface Matrixes, Identify Tie-in Points and Shutdown Requirements and review and approve Tie-in List and Tie-in Method of Statements including Hot Tapping and Shutdown Procedures including Safety Measures.
• Review projects documentation for definition of Battery Limits, Tie-in Points and Equipment/Facilities Shutdown Requirements.
• Supervise the execution of Tie-in Works and Coordination of Shutdowns Activities and prepare scope of work for any required modifications/site changes.
• Review, analyze, and create schedules for various Tie-ins and Shutdown Activities depending on provided construction /commissioning schedules.
• Provide technical support for various disciplines with regard to technical interface requirements.
• Coordinate the collection and dissemination of technical information between/within Client and Engineering Contractors and LLIs Vendors/Suppliers. Supervise, manage and coordinate vendors/suppliers engineering documents of Company’s Supplied Items (Long Lead Items).
• Review technical deliverables (Documents, Drawings, Procedures, Philosophies, etc...) submitted by engineering contractors and prepare combined comments sheets and send it to engineering contractors.
• Ensure that the actual project schedule and construction schedule target dates are in line with planned dates and highlight areas of concerns and propose mitigation measures.
• Review contractual documentation for definition of battery limits between engineering contractors and LLIs suppliers/vendors.
• Be responsible for the technical coordination at the battery limits and tie-ins between the different Contractors and OWNER’s supplied Materials (LLIs).
• Participate in site progress meetings with contractors; identify potential impact upon activity of other contractors.
• Ensure, in close cooperation with engineering support team technical conflicts at the battery limits of the packages are addressed at an early stage and a technical solution for resolution is developed.
• Be involved in all change control activities, whether emanating from construction site or suppliers or engineering team, assess impact on other participants, follow up of change control issues.
• Supervision of maintenance of markup documents and issuing of as built documentation.
• Participate in preparation of Shutdown activities of existing facilities, Pre-commissioning and commissioning activities of new facilities.
