Reporting to General Manager
Responsibilities:
Plan and Forecast hotel manpower budget in co-ordination with GM, DOF and HOD’s as per business requirement.
Create a work environment that is high in employee morale and provides constant learning & development and use the feedback from ESS to draw an action plan.
Training and Development of associates
Develop systems and procedures that achieve higher employee efficiency and employee satisfaction.
Recruitment and Performance Appraisal/ Management of the staff in the Unit.
Develop & Implement the annual plan linking the department’s objectives to the unit’s overall strategy.
Monitoring in - house training.
Implement and sustain the Tata code of conduct & Value systems.
Interact with the GM & HODs on a daily basis in areas of manpower planning, people development & provide appropriate support to the Operational departments.
Recruitment and Selection planning of Staff at the unit level. Planning database maintenance.
Rationalize manpower utilization and carryout appropriate right sizing activities.
Implement Employee Satisfaction surveys & ensure the results are communicated & follow up on the action plans.
Implement the Performance management system/appraisals & align to the Balanced Scorecard, and TBEM.
Implement appropriate Reward & Recognition program for employees linked to Customer delight.
Ensure compliance of all statutory & non - statutory HR aspects for fulfillment of corporate governance.
Responsible to plan and co-ordinate for all HR related functions of the hotel. Plan Trainings and Induction for all staff/new joinees with L&D M, Cross Trainings, Looking at Career Progression of staff-lateral and vertical, Standard HR Operating Procedures of Departments, Audits, Junior Management Development and career planning, payroll monitoring. TBEM training. Recruitment process and getting staff on board. Counselling and discipline process
Support departments / functions in developing cutting edge functional excellence and in developing leadership capabilities. Act as change catalyst in the cultural and organizational transformation. Provide key inputs of L&D aspects for all activities and plans of the unit.
Reinforce learning & developmental initiatives in the unit through supporting individual & team development, career development, training & experience- based learning. Induct, coach and mentor new Joinees. Interact with the departmental / unit functional heads on a daily basis in areas of people development, providing appropriate support to operational departments.
Partner in interventions for organizational & leadership development.
Partner in Corporate initiatives as required from time to time.
Participate & assist in the unit career development process along with the General Manager, the department heads.
Accommodation policy monitoring, keeping utility bill under control as feasible with accommodation committee, accommodation audits.
Cafeteria menu planning with Abela, celebration of national days, café adoption, locker and rest room upkeep, transport monitoring. Plan and execute staff welfare activities, sports, annual day as per hotel operating budget
