• Preparing Interim Valuations as per Client Requirements and agreeing on them.
• Preparing Claim Status & Outstanding Value Assessments.
• Processing Sub-Contractors Payment applications and Labor Payments at site.
• Quantity Takeoff for Civil and MEP works (BOQ & Procumbent)
• Preparing Variation Order Requests following Client Instructions.
• Prepares final account statements and other financial certificates as required in accordance with the respective forms of contracts.
• Periodically attending progress and Contract meetings with Client & consultant
• Dealing with Variation claims including compilation, Assist in preparation of Interim Bills and assist the Senior Contract Manager for preparing and substantiation of claims submitted.
• In Value Engineering, prepared comparison statements, functional analysis report and participating in brainstorming sessions etc with the VE team.
This BTEC HND focuses on the development of skills and knowledge required to gain employment within civil engineering related industries where analytical, industrial laboratory and/or fieldwork skills application is also necessary. Our students are trained to be technically competent problem solvers and team workers.
The main role is to manage and control costs of construction projects using a range of management and technical tools to achieve this purpose. A recognised qualification in Quantity Surveying leads to other specialist areas such as value management, dispute resolution, arbitration, insurance and many related areas in the industry.
