Responsible for the Pre & Post contract, from the early stages of visibility studies, master planning, through tendering, evaluation & recommendations for award, and the construction supervision of Sohar Airport Project Packages I & II, and Duqm International Airport Package III, in the Sultanate of Oman.

Responsibilities included:
Pre-Contract:
•Coordinate the Engineering deliverables on time under the conditions of agreement.
•Develop the primary estimated cost for different packages.
•Risk assessment and recommendations.
•Develop the final submittal of Tender Documents.
•Receive, coordinate and collect all technical clarifications to the Tender Queries.
•Issue circular letters and tender addendums as necessary.
•Evaluation of bidders based on the tender criteria.
•Develop the Engineer statement for evaluation and award recommendations.
•Pursue the Engineer’s compensations in due course.
Post-Contract:
•Review and maintain complete set of the Contract Documents and related correspondences, for both, the Main Contract and the Engineering Services.
•Coordinate the engineering deliverables of “For Construction” to the contractors.
•Review and maintain the contractor’s deliverables of Insurance, mobilization …etc.
•Review and certify the contractor’s interim payments.
•Pursue the Engineer’s compensation for supervision services with the Employer.
•Change management, procedures and formalization.
•Resolution and recommendations for Disputes, Variations & Claims.
•Monthly Commercial Reports/Statements.
•Handing-over deliverables and requirements.
•Pursue the “Final Account” with the project parties up to the contract closure.

Started as a civil engineer working on site for AIC/Cubertas Joint Venture, for Construction and installation of four nos. of five-meter diameter concrete pipes with steel sheets reinforcement, to transfer irrigation water to the east bank under Suez Canal. The works included dewatering system, pipes manufacturing, dredging, Inlet & outlet and connection channel to the main AL-Salaam irrigation channel.
The responsibilities included supervising work force & subcontractors, inspecting site activities, needs orders, and progress reports.
