• To lead a Team of Draftsmen involved in detail engineering of Pressure Vessels, Tanks and Heat Exchangers.
• Review the client specification for Design & material requirements.
• Preparation & Review of Mechanical Design calculation.

• Pre-order support with mechanical design.
• Review the procurement sketch for non-standard flanges and forgings.
• Co-ordinate with Authorized inspector to review the design calculation to meet the code requirement.
• Provide the PWHT requirement as per code and client specification.
• Co-ordinate with QA/QC & Production department and clarify the project requirement.
• Co-ordinate with Project Engineers, other discipline engineers and client/ end users in order to develop cost effective, safe and fit for purpose to meet client requirements
• Checking of fabrication drawings. Responsible for design review and approval of design calculation and drawings.
• Co-ordination with the clients and contractors.

• Responsible for budgeting the Engineering man-hours and producing the engineering deliverable as per project schedule.

• Attending the client meeting (Post bid clarification, Pre-Bid clarification)
• Pre-order support with mechanical design.

 Develop detailed design drawings and specification for IBR steam boilers, steam pipelines, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, Hot water generator, Water Pre heaters, Cyclone separator, Condensate and Dump Tanks, wet scrubber, Chimney, Ducting and other sheet metal fabrication components.
 Coordinate with and consult other workers to design, layout or detail components and systems and to resolve design or other problems.
 Compute mathematical formulas and heat calculations for Shell, furnace, stay tubes, Reversing chamber, Stand pipes, Access pipe, Ash tube etc., to develop and design detailed specifications.
 Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems.
 Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed.
 Layout and draw schematic, orthographic, or angle views to depict functional relationships of components, assemblies, systems, and machines.
 Confer with customer representatives to review schematics and answer questions pertaining to installation of systems.
 Layout, draw and reproduce illustrations for reference manuals and technical publications to describe operation and maintenance of mechanical systems.
 Considering the implications of issues such as cost, safety and time constraints
 Discussing and solving complex problems with manufacturing departments, sub-contractors, suppliers and customers.
