Area Sales Manager - East Africa Region Present
- Maintain knowledge of competitors in account to strategically position The Company products and services better.
- Develop pursuit plans and manage the pipeline to ensure alignment with account managers, adding to Planned and delegated sales tasks to a team of 3 salespeople.
- Establish a professional, working, and consultative, relationship with the client, by developing a core understanding of the unique business needs of the client within their industry.
- Contributes to proposal development, negotiations and deal closings.
- Work closely with and support account manager, providing technical expertise and support, and participating in client engagements up to C-level engagements for more complex solutions in smaller accounts.
- Interface with both internal and external/industry experts to anticipate customer needs and facilitate solutions development.
- Building Territory Sales Funnels and follow up it through the account manager in each country
- Achievements
(i) Increased regional sales by $2 million after 1 year for the east Africa region by closing 2 strategic projects in Ethiopia and Kenya for the utilities companies.
(ii) Exceeding the targets by the below projects due to one year penetration for the new market
- Billing system ( addis Ababa Water and Sanitation company -Ethiopia ) for 250k subscribers
- Geographical information system ( Addis Ababa Water and Sanitation company - Ethiopia ) for the distribution network for all addis ababa city
- SDH project ( Kenya Power ) serving Kenya power, by linking nine power stations with power control centre, through a fiber network, affording monitoring and control of power control center with the nine sites, as well as providing nine voice communication between power control centre and maintenance engineers in said stations
