Job description:
• Witnessing Welder Performance Qualification Testing (WPQT)
• Material identification as per approved isometric drawings before welding.
• Random monitoring of fit up and dimensional checks for above and ground piping works as per approved isometric drawings.
• Receiving and inspection of welding consumable.
• Monitoring welding consumable control, welders qualification and welding activities
• Monitoring and control of oven room activities
• In process inspection of ongoing activities as per project specification.
• Visual inspection of weld joints for different materials by different process (TIG, SMAW & SAW)
• Preparation and documentation of Daily Welding Reports (DWIR)
• Review and verifying the PACKAGES to release for hydro test.
• Issuing NCR for jobs that are deviating from the standards.
• Documentation of WELD REPAIRS, RFI, ITP, PUNCH LIST, PMI AND EQUIPMENT CALIBRATIONS.
NDT Activities:
• Inspection of DPT
• Inspection of materials (PMI) -consumables&nonconsumables
• Review and interpretation of radiographic films.
• Reviewing welder's performance as per repair rate.
• Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering at Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology, affiliated to Anna University, Coimbatore secured "First Class" • AWS Certified Welding Inspector.
• NDT Level - II as per ASNT in Penetrant Testing (PT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT), Radiographic Testing (RT), Radiographic film interpretation (RTFI) Code & Standard Familiar with: • ASME section IX for welding procedure and welders qualifications • AWS section B31.3 for structure process piping • ASME section II part A for specifications of base metals ferrous metals • ASME section II part B for specifications of base metals non-ferrous metals • ASME section II part of C fro specification of electrode and filler wires Saudi Aramco Standard Reference Familiar with: • SAES W-011 Welding requirements for on-plot plant piping • SAES W-012 Welding requirements for pipeline.
