• Follow up and Co-operate with the Purchasing Dept. for the new POs
• Review the shipping documents before shipping to ensure applying customs regulations and customs law to ensure smooth customs clearance procedures.
• Follow up with the suppliers to ensure that the shipping documents sent to the bank in appropriate time and arrange with the treasury receiving the shipping documents from bank.
• Track / Trace arrival of the shipment.
• Send full copy of the shipping documents to customs broker during shipping to be ready to start process.
• Issuing the necessary Forms from the bank (Form 4, Form 5, Form 6 and Value Declaration)
• Send the shipping documents to customs broker once received from bank to start process.
• Manage all required documents for customs clearance.
• Follow up with customs broker status of the shipments on daily basis.
• Obtain the required approvals from (GAFI- Investment Authority, NTRA &…………)
• Ensuring that customs broker apply correct customs tariff.
• Prepare the required checks for duties and taxes.
• Follow up the transportation with the FF or the transport company to ensure that the shipment delivered in the requested time.
• Send daily report to involved parties with the status of PO till delivered to warehouse.
• Review customs clearance and transportation invoices.
• Visit customs in airport and ports to follow up the clearance process with the customs agent and report any comments to Logistics Manager.
• Manage our subcontractors (customs agent and transportation agent) to achieve company’s target
• Arrange monthly meeting with our subcontractors to stand on the performance and discuss any deviation
• Ensure that SAP updated by warehouse when delivered the shipment.
• Determine/co-operate in the determination of the business strategy and executes /secures its implementation
• Acquire or supports the acquisition of new business and supports the account management
• Promote customer relations and develops the existing client base
• Direct or supports the business development process (tender analysis, solution design, costing, pricing and service offering)
• Localize the global Airfreight products to meet market expectations and requirements
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity in order to identify new business opportunities (acquisition candidates, new services, business partners, etc.)
• Implement and execute carrier’s strategies, including managing local carrier’s contacts, rates negotiations, and bilateral process in alignment to the framework of the global preferred carrier program.
• Secure the continuity of regional or national carrier relationships
• Evaluate home / regional carrier initiatives for local market requirements
• Ensure efficient import Airfreight operations and continuously optimizes the operations of the General Cargo and the Pharma & Healthcare and increases productivity by implementing standard processes in line with corporate guidelines and targets (such as Data Quality)
• Co-operate in the development and implementation of business operation and reporting system
• Processing department FSL
• Assist in creating and monitoring the annual budget, initiates corrective actions in case of deviations
• Assist in selecting, recruiting and continuously reviewing the performance of import Airfreight staff
• Monitor import Airfreight staff performance and provide support and assistance where/when needed
• Work closely with sales team to develop existing business and facilitate the generation of new business( related to the General Cargo & the Pharma )or budget achievement
• Provide product related information when required
• Assist in key account implementation
• Implement all QSHE policies & guidelines
• Ensure all business processes to be followed as per KN systems/guidelines and working instructions related to the General Cargo and the Pharma and healthcare which are available on the local shared folder
• Strictly adhere to all QSHE directives (incl. Code of Conduct, Ethical Behavior, FCPA etc.
• Handling all import shipments beginning from coordination, correspondences, receiving shipping docs from airlines, customs clearance and delivery up to consignee's door.
• Managing brokers, ensuring time action, accurate quoting of duties, applying customs regulations and SOP if any as well as following up all customs related issues.
• Checking the shipping documents ( Commercial Invoice, Air way bill, Packing list, EUR 1 Certificate and Certificate of origin) with customers and our offices at origin in advance to ensure applying Customs Regulations and Law regarding them.
• Pushing brokers to release shipments in timely manner as well as adherence with the deadline.
• Interfering with the broker during customs process in customs custody if it is required.
• Attending loading the shipment on the truck to ensure delivering to customer intact and ensuring that the truck is suitable for weight and kind of the goods.
• Follow up driver of the truck after loading the shipment to ensure delivering the shipment to customer in agreed time.
• Sending updates to customers with the status of their shipments on daily basis via email & discussion via phone.
• Helping customers to issue the required documents for customs clearance as well as filling the required Forms by Customs Authority.
• Ensuring that the shipment is stored in customs warehouse in chilled area under the required temperature degree if it is required and take corrective actions if not.
• Submitting offers to customers and KN origin offices.
• Reviewing cost of the brokers and reducing it as much as possible.
• Reviewing subcontractor invoices to ensure matching amount of the invoice with agreed rate.
• Looking for new transporters with best rate than we have to increase the profitability with same quality.
• Checking shipment file after releasing to ensure that we have full copy of the customs declaration and all official receipts.
• Issuing KN clearance invoice to customer as agreed offer and deliver it in timely manner.
• Follow up reimbursement of the invoices by coordinating with accounting department.
• Prepare meeting with customer to discuss the disputed invoices if any
• Delivering shipping documents to customer and issue delivery Order after arriving of the shipment.
• Sending notifications to customers for all import shipments once arrived.
• Checking with Airlines about the status of the shipments
• Checking with our offices at origin about delaying of the shipments and stand on reasons of the delay if any.
• Checking with Airlines about the status of the shipments
• Issuing Delivery Order invoices to customer.
• Follow up with KN origin offices about any missing of pieces and check arrival date of them if any.
• Follow up with KN origin offices about any missing of the shipping documents.
• Issuing reference numbers for all import shipments once arrival on KN System
• Dealing with General Authority for Investment and Free Zone to issue Free Zone permit for export shipments and related documents for export.
• Dealing with General Authority for Import and Export Control to issue EUR 1 Certificate and Certificate of Origin.
