Full-Time Engineer, Acting as Network Engineer, System Administrator at Electronics and Communication Engineering Department (ECNG) as a part of the school of science and engineering of the AUC university.
Responsibilities include:
- Implement and Support IT, and securing the reliability of Labs contents including network, Linux, Windows OS, MAC OSX.
- Implement Linux server based sophisticated software using Redhat Linux using Shell and Bash Scripting.
- Assist the Software team by providing technical advice.
- Provide technical training IT programs for lower level and new staff members.
- Implement Aruba Clearpass on clients.
- Supporting Auth2 authentication
- Update all software periodically and prepare new installations.
- Supporting with BlackBoard LMS
- Supporting Staff with SAP ERP, and Banner ERP systems.
- Cope with the University Technology Infrastructure team and University Academic Computing Technologies team to solve the technical end-user support and prepare networking policies.
- Collaborates with technical support and IT helpdesk teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Provide additional IT Service Desk support for the Faculty members.
- Add and remove members from OU Active Directory groups, map network drives, map printers, install approved software.
- Participate in Technical Events and conferences that introduce either new products or solutions for IoT and computer tech.
- Participate as a Judge and Mentor in numerous International Science - Engineering and Robotics Competitions for youngsters and juniors.
- Assist in Graduation projects and Labs related to Embedded, Security, and Computer Networking.
- Work with other campus service departments to integrate solutions.
- Determine required hardware, software for the ECNG Department to match recent technology needs for courses and projects.
- Work with Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) Authority re-accreditation of standard academic programs.
Consulting the optimal POS, CRM, CCTV, Call Center Management, IT Infrastructure, network, Operating Systems, and Data Center for the restaurant HQ and Branches. In Addition to the website Development and Hosting service, plus social media Marketing advising.
I’m involved in several Technical activities in the Corporate, including:
