Responsible for designing, organizing, modifying, and supporting a company's computer systems. Designs and installs LANs, WANs, VPNs, Internet and intranet systems, and network segments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support LANs, WANs, VPNs, Wireless Wans, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems.
• Maintain system efficiency.
• Ensure design of system allows all components to work properly together.
• Troubleshoot problems reported by users.
• Make recommendations for future upgrades.
• Maintain network and system security.
• Analyze and isolate issues.
• Monitor networks to ensure security and availability to specific users.
• Evaluate and modify system's performance.
• Identify user needs.
• Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment, and security.
• Ensure network connectivity throughout a company's LAN/WAN infrastructure is on par with technical considerations.
• Design and deploy networks.
• Perform network address assignment.
• Assign routing protocols and routing table configuration.
• Assign configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services.
• Maintain network facilities in individual machines, such as drivers and settings of personal computers as well as printers.
• Maintain network servers such as file servers, VPN gateways, and intrusion detection systems.
• Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, personal digital assistants, smartphones, software deployment, security updates and patches.
Proficient in managing & delivering networking projects / systems administration for various clients.
Proficient in network analysis/design/integration/administration and support, IT operation management, IT documentation and audit preparations.
Demonstrated abilities in leading and guiding project teams to deliver projects to clients within specified timeframe and as per specifications.
Web server, file server and mail server administration
Maintaining Avaya IP Phone System Networks & Programs
Installation and Maintaining of Door Access Control and CCTV
Thorough understanding in systems administration and database administration of systems, data backup procedures and providing technical support for the business applications.
An effective leader with proven abilities in leading teams during the project phase, training & guiding team members and enabling knowledge sharing among the team.
Planning, acquiring, deploying and integrating stream infrastructure with that of client as per the process migration plan for the smooth transition.
Serving as:
- Project Owner (Account Manager) to support clients like Microsoft, Dell, AOL, HP, McAfee and Gateway
- Project Leader for implementing ISO System (ISO 2000) to ensure minimum downtime (Owner of Backup and Preventive Maintenance System).
Escalating & interacting with business clients for technology requirements and attending conference calls on weekly basis to discuss various issues regarding the project.
Negotiating with hardware and software vendors to purchase and maintain the AMC’s.
Managing a team of 18 System / Network Administrators and scheduling them to cover 24 x 7.
Co-ordinating with US/UK counterpart for Administration & daily report updates.
Handling the Windows NT 4.0 & Windows 2000 / 2003 Administration (40+ Servers) and more than 1600 nodes in Stream (Mumbai) site.
Overseeing the administration and maintenance of AD, DHCP, DNS, AV (Symantec Norton), FTP, SMS, SUS, Win Proxy, Web Server, Surf Control, Lotus Notes, Backup, NICE, Symposium, 11C PBX, Ghost Server
Overseeing the configuration & troubleshooting of Cisco Switches, HP and Dell Servers.
Monitoring the bandwidth and utilization of ILL (Internet Links) IPLC (Leased Circuits) through Solarwinds. Following up with ISP’s in case of failures and downtime.
Creating user accounts in Domain, Lotus Notes, NICE, Symposium, helping the telecom team to configure VOIP phones (AVAYA and Nortel) & maintaining Backups and restoring the same when needed.
Imparting training to the IT Team members and Team Managers to ISO System
