Ensure that all fire protection detection and protection equipment & systems (>2, 900) on site are constantly available in full operating condition through the coordination of regular and advanced maintenance & inspection programs as per NFPA using proper staff and specialized contractor.
Provide Fire Protection Engineering services including project plan reviews across the units for the implementation of state of the art fire protection solutions by contractors in accordance with recognized international standards.
Enhance the risk awareness by conducting regular inspections and providing dedicated specialized training to all plant employees across the site about the inherent and special hazards.
Promote good practices in order to control and limit risk exposure. Thus including life safety aspects, property conservation and business continuity.
Develop and upgrade pre-emergency planning in coordination with civil authorities through advance drills upon scenario dedicated to a given unit.
Conduct high level skilled inspection / audit, water flow testing of fire water grid, fire pump performance testing and test/commissioning of fire protection systems.
Review the fire suppression and detection concept design for compliance with the applicable NFPA standards and with the local civil defense requirements.
To perform with supervision a variety of Plants/Complex/Onshore/Offshore engineering functions as a Fire Protection / Safety Engineer. Which will includes management or design form assignment through completion which will entail developing or reviewing requirements, project proposal, expenditure request, design, materials ordering, scheduling, and coordinating various manpower, development of procedures, training, and implementation followed by audits to determine that planned improvements in function have actually been achieved. At all points, adequate written record will be required to allow work tracking and follow-up.
- Coordinate the repair and modification works on existing Fire Fighting Equipment when required.
- Fire Protection and Detection System gap analysis review.
- Administrate the firefighting maintenance contractors for compliance with the corporate Safety and Loss Prevention Programs.
- To Ensure the protection, maintenance and general up keep of any and all plant machinery and equipment used by the company before, during and after activity,
Inspection, testing and certification of Gas detection (Toxic, and Combustible Gases) systems at onshore / off shore even the commercial facilities such as housing, swimming pool, car parking etc
