My responsibility is ensure reliability, security, and performance for the physical and virtual server, storage, and network environments in addition to Datacenter Environmental controls. works to address issues by leading a team of Data Center professionals and leveraging his personal technical expertise and maintains responsibility for ensuring consistent, repeatable and sustainable practices, procedures, and documentation related to the Data Center operations, Identifies methods, solutions, and provides project leadership and management in order to provide a high level of service to the customers of the department.
•Provides expertise, technical leadership and ownership of issues concerning the implementation and operation of physical servers, storages, virtualization environments, operating system application patching, messaging, backup, monitoring, in addition to Data Center power, HVAC, data center environment controls monitoring.
•Design, build and operate infrastructure architecture (Datacenter and cloud) with a focus on availability, throughput, scalability, and security.
•Assigns and delegates tasks to team members as appropriate; defines roles and responsibilities for team members.
•Design, test, and implement system high availability and disaster recovery plans.
•Create architectural diagrams representing IT Systems and processes, and clearly document technology plans and implementation to facilitate the efficient support of the environment.
•Provide mentorship to Data Center team members and promote best practices, ensures compliance and contributes to policies, procedures and standards.
•Manages Data Center vendor relationships, evaluating performance based on identified criteria.
•Assist in Data Center capacity planning, and in the process for evaluation, selection and implementation of Data Center solutions.
•Identify areas for process improvement, and automation opportunities and implement scripted solutions
•Develop and grow IT team members-identify development needs, provide skill building opportunities for DC team.

Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, servers, Storage, and virtualization.
•Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery and failover procedures
•Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues. leads problem-solving efforts often involving outside vendors and other support personnel and/or organizations.
•Regularly reviews system logs and OS behavior to proactively monitor systems and address issues accordingly.
•Implement and manage server and storage virtualization environments (VMWare, Hyper-V, Nutanix)
•Implement, and manage MS Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and WSUS
•Responsible for the installation, configuration, and optimization of SolarWinds Orion and other network management/monitoring platforms.
•Ensures high availability and acceptable levels of performance of mission critical host computer resources.
•Support racking, organizing, labeling and maintenance of physical equipment to include servers, storage and network devices
•Support the configuration, maintenance and monitoring of the DCIM tool
•Maintains inventory and labeling of equipment and removal of decommissioned hardware. Maintains an adequate spare parts inventory of systems, subsystems, and component parts used in repair work.
